Alekos 2 Go — Restaurant in Hagerstown

First off let me just say, the food is EPIC! Doesn't matter if your vegan, a vegetarian, on a diet or just eating healthy, they have something for everyone!!! If your a local to the area, frequently in Hagerstown, from out of state or just passing through, you should treat yourself to amazing food and help support a family owned/operated local business while your at it! Just drive right on past the competition for some REAL(and amazing) food! If i could I'd give 10/10 stars!

I was introduced to ALEKOS2GO by my boss one day he bought lunch. I had the chicken parmesan sub and it was totally epic! Perfectly done! To be honest i drive past their location frequently, but never stopped in until recently. Boy was I really missing out NOT trying them years ago!

Makes me happy to see not just another big chain store, but a family owned and operated restaurant with excellent food and service do such an awesome job at it! Very reasonably priced with excellent portions all around. The outside seating environment is tranquil and well kept. Very honest people, perfectly prepared food(true masters of the craft!), with fast and excellent service. Overall a truly wonderful place to grab breakfast, lunch or dinner during the week!!

Only downside is when they open & being closed weekends. Really can't be upset about that though, everyone needs time outside of work to "relax", I mean who actually WANTS to work 7 days a week? I'd bet $ they are there way earlier than 1030 preparing for the day at hand. True dedication can be tasted in each delicious bite!

Mad respect to the owners/operators of this business, Steve and Kiki, keep up the excellent work everyone!! 10years strong!! My family and my co-workers at H&S will definitely be back for more! Next up from their menu, the IMPOSSIBLE BURGER!!

I really love how close to home and work Alekos 2 Go is! Right on Northern Ave between leitersburg pike and PA ave. Makes a quick meal even quicker, breakfast lunch OR dinner! Very well done everyone!! Cya for breakfast Monday!! 😁

I wanted to give a review of my recent visit to Aleko’s. I don’t get there often, but have been going there for more than 10 years. The food has always been great. I did look at the other reviews before I went just out of curiosity. Called my order in and picked it up. Opened it up to munch on the fries on the way home. Realized I had a small cup of dressing for a large Greek salad and not much tzatziki sauce on the gyro. The meat was also well-done, not burnt. Went back to the restaurant and shared my concerns. They were very happy to fix all deficiencies and shared some suggestions to avoid misunderstandings. Very good advice. Let them know how you want the meat cooked, well-done, barely warm or somewhere in between. We all have different tastes; we have no problem telling an order taker how we want our steaks cooked. Check your order before you leave for completeness. We are all human and occasionally make mistakes. Reading over the other reviews I read some people complained the gyros weren’t even made correctly. You couldn’t pick it up to eat. We have so many different ethnic foods available to us and we say we like them, but we need to be honest, we do tend to “Americanize” them sometimes. The “in” thing now are bowl meals. Maybe Aleko’s is trying to get in on that too by the way they assemble the gyros. If you want it done ‘traditionally’ make sure they know that, order it that way. 3rd straight delivery that was told 45- 1hr and it took 2+ hrs. Excuses are abundant. I used to order here all the time last week was the last time. Promised hot food and still had cold hard subs. Oh the reason we didn't receive our order in a timely manner is the girl answering the restaurant couldn't be worse at an easy job. She took my order and never got "my phone number " nor my address. Last I checked all restaurant have a caller ID. So she waited for me to call back in an 1hr 35mins after the first call. Took me 3 calls and the driver or the girl on the phone did listen to where the driveway. Driver didn't wanna give me my order to check to see if was cold or not. Thankful for my air fryer. Save your fortune they charge. Quilty as for food and service is not worth it. The drive thru pick you'll also wait 35 mins. Do not patronize this establishment unless you want 99.9% disappointment. Sincerely last time customer and will spread the word on my FB page for all friends to see. This place is a mistake. Needs to overhaul on staff or just close up. Stop screwing your customers and nobody wants old ultra dry 4 day Baklava as compensation. It's a slap in face on a $60 order for 2....
