We were excited to try this restaurant for cinco de mayo! We got there, there was maybe 3 other customers it was super slow yet they had rap music blasting, Ok no problem, not really the vibe for cinco de Mayo but itâs fine, we go to sit and weâre told we need to order before we sit. Weird but ok, we order and sit. Food comes out with no silverware, we ask for silverware and they give it to us more than 15 minutes later only after me having to go back up to the host to ask for it again. Our drinks come way after the food was eaten. The tacos were spicy so we drank the drinks super fast and asked the waitress for another round of drinks which she tells us we have to go back up to the hostess to order the drinks even though we had an open tab. I go up front to order the drinks, thereâs now a line and Iâm waiting 15-20 minutes to order the drinks. Iâd assume theyâd be handed directly to me however they werenât. And weâre waiting another 10 min for the waitress???? So I go back up again asking for the drinks (soda mind you, not alcohol, although I shouldâve gotten alcohol at this point because this whole experience was super annoying) she hands me the soda, thanks. We order dessert which we shouldnât have, another 30 minutes later we just get up to go pay the check and asked for the dessert to go at this point. Again, I have to wait on a line to pay, while 10 people decide their order at the counter when Iâm ready to pay and GO. 30 minutes later I pay and they have the nerve to suggest a 25% tip, for who???? Me???? I had to do everything myself. The tacos were good but this is the absolute most unorganized establishment Iâve ever ever been to and will definitely not be...
Read moreOkay, if you havenât been to Uptown 66 yet, stop what youâre doing and go. Seriously. This place is a total gem. one of those spots that somehow nails everything without even trying too hard.
Thereâs a laid-back vibe with colorful murals, outdoor and indoor seating, and the smell of tacos hitting the grill. Whether youâre out for a quick lunch or a chill night with friends, itâs the kind of place you instantly feel comfortable in.
Now letâs talk food because WOW! These tacos are on another level. The Barbacoa is juicy and full of flavor, the al pastor has that perfect smoky and sweet thing going on, and the birria? Unreal. Tender, flavorful, with a consommĂ© thatâs so good youâll want to sip it straight. Everythingâs made in-house, from the tortillas to the salsas, and trust me, you can tell! Honestly, itâs hard to go wrong with anything on the menu.
And letâs not forget the drinks. Their margaritas are legitâfresh, not too sweet, just right. My favorite was the spicy passion fruit marg and I COULD NOT get enough of their manny cacao.
The staff? Super friendly, super helpful. Theyâll walk you through the menu if youâre stuck or give you their favorites (which usually end up becoming your favorites too). The whole place just has good energy. Itâs also ridiculously easy to get order. Go. Eat....
Read moreTook an Uber because I saw how many good reviews this place had. As soon as I walked in, I saw that there were no seats at the bar. I was told that I cannot sit at the bar. I have to go sit at the table and that I can only order at the front Which I was OK with because I was craving tacos and then there were four other females working behind the counter, only two customers sitting at the tables and no one bothered to even say hi then I see one of the workers at the bar on the other side of it drinking a strong margarita after she was done she said bye to all of the girls and told them she will see them tomorrow which basically told me sheâs working there . to ask if I needed anything if I wanted to order so I continue to stand by the register. I even smiled that a few of them, hoping that they would ask for my order since I was starving But unfortunately, no one did. So I decided to walk next-door to The restaurant called Limon. And let me tell you the best service, the best drink drinks you can sit at the bar and amazing amazing food. Very weird awkward place, and you can only order your food at the front counter and pay. But if you want to order another drink, you have to go back to the front of the counter and pay again. Not my...
