Bel-Air Grill — Restaurant in Halls Crossroads

This used to be such a great place when I was younger. Tonight was mine and my family’s last time ever eating here again. New waitress, but very sweet girl, waited on us. She told my mom that her meal came with a salad so obviously she got a salad. Like who wouldn’t if the waitress tells you “oh by the way this comes with a salad”? Like hello, duh. Anyways, I order soup and it didn’t come until after the meal..like what? So, we get the ticket and we are charged for a salad. We ask the waitress about it and she goes and talks to the manager, because she’s obviously confused and doesn’t even know what’s going on. She comes back with a menu and says “I’m so sorry this was my fault, it wasn’t actually supposed to come with a salad. My manager told me to show you on the menu where I messed up.” Like what even 😂 So, you’d think the salad would get taken off right? wrong.. so we ask why it’s not getting taken off since it was her mistake. She goes and gets the manager. The manager comes over, and let me tell you, this was my worst experience with a manager EVER. First thing she’s says is “what’s the problem”, SO hateful. We tell her the issue and she says well none of our meals come with salads except the 2 for $20 special. Okay..well great, that still doesn’t change the fact that we were verbally told it came with a salad. Manager then proceeds to tell us that if we would’ve looked at the menu, we would’ve know 😂 How stupid.. 10/10 people will order a salad if they are told it comes with the meal 😂 I also proceed to ask her why my soup came out after the meal was brought. She said “that’s why I asked you if you still wanted it.” I asked the question again because she obviously didn’t hear it right the first time. 😂 She says” I don’t know” sarcastically. No sorry, no nothing about the whole situation. As a retail major, I’m thinking how is this girl a manager?? I wouldn’t want this girl even picking up my trash on Fridays. Don’t waste your time at this restaurant anymore. Mediocre food and a cringe worthy manager is what you’ll get. If this establishment is hurting for $4, then I don’t know what to tell you. Avoid coming here. This was my first time, the food wasn’t awful, the service and environment was. I had never been there but my friends had, we came along with them. We waited forever for our food, my drink never got refilled, the gratuity they put on was over 18% as listed. My husband ordered the. Rocky top and it was suppose to have bbq sauce. I asked nicely and our waitress brought it to us, since I asked for that I didn’t want to ask for a drink refill. We were leaving and it was taking forever so we paid with their QR code they provided. We showed her it was paid she said “you’re good to go thank you” sounds good so far right? We leave. Receive a call from another employee we knew saying it wasn’t paid. Okay fine we can come pay it, then I look and 10 mins after we left- our payment was REFUNDED. Weird right???? Then we recieved a lot of messages cussing, calling us names, making up lies. Saying we “mocked and laughed” at her. Also my husband and friends were in company shirts, they said they were going to call their company and complain and ban us from the restaurant. (Multiple waitress but Casey was the lead just bc she knew one of the guys I was with, my cousin and didn’t like him) called him out by name in texts. This was not true and I called the manager I asked him if his cameras worked and I’d like for him to watch the footage to see if we said ANYTHING bad about any employee and to also watch where I showed her my payment and she said I was good or maybe I needed to bring my lawyer and file for defamation because how am I going to get banned or my husbands job called over something that never happened (cooperate can watch footage. No issues here.) or the fact YOU CANCELED MY PAYMENT 10 MINS after I left the store. This is very unprofessional! If the manager stands on his word, he’s amazing. But Casey needs to be fired. 1. I highly recommend STAY AWAY! If I could give no stars I would. Went here for my birthday dinner.Awful. Nothing edible. . I'd heard people say "oh I heard it was good" ,but none of them had actually been there. So to start the potato soup came to the table... Wasn't even warm enough to melt the little bit of cheese they threw on top of it. The sampler appetizer cheese sticks were completely cold, potato skins cold and burnt, Chicken tenders were very dark surprisingly wasn't burnt inside just didn't have any flavor, mushroom no flavor either. Then our meals came.. hubby's burger was supposed to have jalapeno on it they forgot so brought a little bowl of cold jalapenos to him 😆.the bun was super old and hard ,burger tasted so much like lighter fluid he couldn't eat it. And he eats everything! Also what was supposed to be onion rings on his burger were so shriveled and burnt couldn't tell what they were.My chicken was so old it had a texture of leather and was super burnt cheese on it was like crusty plastic. while talking to the waitress I decided to try a little bite and immediately regretted it because there was a HAIR in it! And to top it of the salad was in a dirty bowl they also charged me $6 for a side salad that should've been $3. Either way inedible.. Had some random sauce?
