I've been to this Subway twice, and both times I have been "greeted" by an employee sitting outside smoking a cigarette. The first time, the woman out smoking saw me approaching the restaurant, put out her cigarette, got up, followed me inside and got to work, which was fine. Today, a younger woman was sitting outside smoking, saw me walking up, and said "I'll be right there." I stood inside at the counter for a good five minutes and she still hadn't come inside. I had to use the restroom, and since she was taking her sweet time, I decided to go ahead while I waited. The bathroom wasn't horrible, but the toilet seat literally fell off when I opened the lid. When I returned to the front, the employee was back inside, but of course, in the short time I was gone, a line had formed. Please note: I work at Ingles just a few doors down and was on my lunch break. Luckily I worked a long shift and had an hour break; if it had been another time, my break would've been halfway over by now! So, I'm waiting in line for several more minutes, and when it's finally my turn to order, they're out of the bread I asked for. 😒 The same employee that was smoking before made my sandwich and cut it completely unevenly and gave me the shorter half (I only wanted 6 inch) and burnt the edges of the bread. The rest of the process was decent, but I guess I should also note that the tables and floors were filthy, covered in crumbs and whatnot. I was there for 25 minutes before I even got my food. I ate in the restaurant and listened to more customers come and go. By the time I left, they only had two pieces of bread left, making customers mad and forcing them to go elsewhere. The whole thing was just insane and ridiculous. I won't be coming back unless I have an hour long break because they definitely can't get it done in enough time for me to enjoy a 30 minute one. It's unfortunate, because I love Subway. Read moreSubway is such a disaster anymore. I don't know who the owners of the knoxville Subways are, but Farragut is the only one that maintains its standards. My wife and I came to this one and not only was the guy behind the counter acting extremely disinterested in showing any kind of friendliness or customer service, but their veggie bar was empty on a lot of items and the spinach he put on our sandwich was wet, shriveled, and the container almost empty (guess its too hard to be bothered with putting out more). As soon as we'd paid, him and the other girl holding a vape pen behind the counter both sat down at one of the dining room tables on their phones. The place was also a sticky mess and a lot of cleaning needed to be done, but wasn't by your lazy employees. Attention owners! Do you care about your business? Have you read your reviews? It's not just me having problems everytime I'm here! Make the necessary changes or go out of business!
