I want to share an experience I’ve had with one of your cashiers over the past two weeks.
Last week, I noticed this cashier (purple hair, I didn’t catch her name) being visibly impatient with a mother and her child. The child wasn’t misbehaving—just being a child—but the cashier was audibly sighing, telling the child to sit still, and rushing the mom along in a way that felt inappropriate and uncomfortable to watch.
This week, at the Norris Freeway location around 10:15 a.m., I had a direct experience with the same cashier while shopping with my daughter, who is autistic and nonverbal. Grocery shopping is part of her therapy, so we usually shop at Aldi because it’s a calmer environment. When we got to the register, I placed my daughter at the back of the belt so she wouldn’t try to grab items. The cashier insisted that I “move up,” even after I explained. While I was still loading groceries, she rushed ahead, throwing items into the cart, including into the child seat—where I needed to place my daughter.
When I got to the register to pay, my daughter touched the belt. The cashier grabbed her hand and told her not to touch it. I immediately told her not to touch my child and explained that she is autistic. After I paid, I didn’t even have time to put my card back in my pocket before she started pushing the buggy my daughter was sitting in out of the way—without asking me to move her. The whole experience felt rushed, dismissive, and honestly, very upsetting for both me and my daughter.
I’ve always appreciated Aldi’s for being an accessible, family-friendly store, but this was a disappointing and stressful experience that made us feel unwelcome. I hope management can address this so no other parent—or child—has to feel...

Freezer bags would not open and if you finally pulled them open they separated. I asked for Mgr. She paged but they never came. I walked back down isle and asked employee to get mgr. She asked why and made excuses. She was cashier with syrup incident. Problem #2- top came off syrup, huge mess, bottle drained. No assistance. I asked for towels to clean up.i knocked eggs off counter. I was frustrated!!! Asked for more towels and was given a roll. She got another employee to replace eggs. She made a made dash. This was garbage bags cashier. Both are hateful and rude. I have been a customer since you opened, and NEVER complained or been rude to your employees. Your other employees are really nice. I will never be back, only to see your store mgr in...
Read moreThe customer in front of me got irritated at me for putting my 5 items on the belt behind them and pushed my groceries off in the floor breaking an item that spilled and the cashier began scolding me for putting my groceries on the belt to soon and gave me a very rough time over what had happened along with the customer that shoved my groceries in the floor. I will not be shopping at Aldi anymore. The cashier and the customer that shoved my groceries in the floor laughed at me and they both told me that this was all my fault. I told them I was sorry, but still do not understand how someone shoving my groceries in the floor was my fault. No more Aldi for me. Customer continued to harass me in the parking lot cursing me and holding their middle finger up at me. I guess they felt a sense of power over me since the cashier was...
