On Friday September 9, 2016, my wife placed an online delivery order, to be delivered the following day (September 10), for our oldest son's birthday party. He was turning 4 years old and the delivery was scheduled for noon. On September 10, 2016, about 20 minutes prior to the scheduled delivery, my wife received a call from the Pizza Hut and they stated they did not have a delivery driver and asked if we could come pick up the pizza. The individual on the phone stated they would have delivery drivers available in about 2 hours. Well needless to say this was very poor timing, considering they had our order 24 hours in advance, and my wife was in tears wondering about what we would do. All of our guests were already at the house and we could not leave. Let me say, if they had called 40 minutes or so before our scheduled delivery, I would not have been upset as that would have given me time to take care of things.
After my wife talked with Pizza Hut for a while, the server on the phone agreed to deliver the order. The order showed up about 25 minutes late, at about 12:25 PM. I tipped the driver anyways, even though I felt there was no need. Needless to say, the whole time prior to the delivery, I am stressing out because we have 6 hungry kids in the house who are on the edge of a meltdown if they donât get fed. The female who delivered the order and was possibly the server we spoke to on the phone told me 4 workers had called in sick. She stated it was only a manager and her working at the restaurant.
First of all, I would like to say, I can understand when circumstances get out of control. Yes the manager cannot control who calls in sick. If I was running the place, my first order of business would be to fire anyone who called in sick and was unable to provide a doctors note. Obviously it was a âfootball Saturdayâ so I imagine not many were actually sick. Also it begs the questions as to the quality of employees hired to work at this store, if they donât care about showing up. And what did the store offer us for our trouble and stress? 15% off our order. This is ridiculous! Thatâs barely tax and delivery fee. I pay for a product and service, with both excessively lacking and they offer me 15%? Thatâs laughable. I have 5 pizza places that will deliver to our residence, and I will NEVER use Pizza Hut again. This experience was terrible. I will tell everyone I know about this horrible experience, because I donât want them to go through the same thing that I did.
I apologize if I seem harsh, but Pizza Hut almost ruined my sonâs birthday. As I said, if they had given us more of an advanced warning, say 40 minutes, I would have gone and picked up the pizza with no complaints, but to call us 20 minutes before the scheduled delivery time is ridiculous. What really upset me the most, was seeing my wife on the phone in tears, worried about making her sonâs birthday party special and great. So, no thank you Pizza Hut, you...
Read moreI will never go to this Pizza Hut again. I used to dine here all the time but for the past few months, their service has been downright terrible. The last time we went there, we came and set down and it took forever for someone to wait on us. When the waitress finally came and took our order, well what can I say, we never saw her again after that. It took all of 45 minutes for us to get our food, which was a very small order and the place was not at all crowded. During that time, two of the other families had simply walked out the door due to being tired of waiting. A cook from the back brought our food out, not the waitress. We never got refills, we never got an apology for our wait, we were never asked if we needed anything. After we got done eating, and the waitress knew we had been there a very very long time, nope, she never offered to come to our table and bring the check or a box. I had to go up to the stand and ask for one, which she seemed very annoyed about. Then, my boyfriend had to put his hand out and stop her in her tracks to ask for the check, which she promptly picked up from the stand (it was sitting back there the WHOLE time) and brought it. The whole time we were there, she walked by our table numerous times and made NO eye contact with us, like she was ignoring we were there. She acted completely annoyed that there were customers in the restaurant and sat behind her stand the whole time just doing nothing at all. I really did not understand what her problem was. To beat it all, there was one table that got decent service from her, it was a group of rowdy men who were there mostly to drink. They were obviously hitting on her and kept motioning her back to their table. I saw her bring them endless amounts of food, refills, and brought boxes and their check without them asking. Why do you think that is? Maybe you have to be downright rude and aggressive to her to get her to do her job. I would rather just go somewhere else. Other than the service, the whole place needs remodeled. I have never seen a Pizza Hut look so rundown and unkept in my life. Save your money people and...
Read moreI havent been to this location in years until today and it looks like nothing has changed. I was on hold for almost 20 minutes and they just keep picking up for long enough to say "Pizza Hut please hold" repeatedly. I chose the option for curbside, and the pizza only took 15 minutes to make!! I kept trying to say no after several minutes and that I've been on hold for 20 minutes but they put me back on hold before I can even say the word no. I just want to let them know I'm here for pickup. It would take 20 seconds. But they wouldn't know that because they won't let me get a word in edgewise and ignored me. Then after 20 minutes on hold, they hung up on me. So I started trying to call back in. They hung up on me a grand total of THIRTEEN times in a row. I ONLY ordered from Pizza Hut because of the curbside pickup because I have an exhausted and sleeping toddler that I needed to STAY asleep so he didn't cry for the rest of the day. At this point I'm honestly concerned they did something to my food. If they are petty enough to act like children (there was a male voice and a female voice) then what else are they petty enough to do. Sad to see this place has gone downhill, I worked at this location as a teen and the GM always took care of customers. This whole experience was just pure laziness. Only 3 cars in the parking lot and when I finally woke the toddler to go inside there were 4 employees and only 1 appeared to be working while we watched them pick up and hang up the phone while I called with my cell in my hand. We won't be returning. There's too many pizza places to deal with this unprofessional,...
