My experience was on the first night they opened, and that is what made my review 4/5 instead of 3/5.
Wait times for ordering, or table check-ins need to be improved. When I arrived, I waited 18 minutes at the tabe, before another member of the party went up to the bar to order a beer. They need at least one more staff member dedicated to the front tables, and not just the two bartenders. Food wait times approached 30 minutes for an appetizer, the kitchen was also backlogged.
When the appetizer arrived, it was moderately warm at best and incorrect. What was ordered was the BBQ nachos with jalapeno on the side, with pulled pork instead of pulled chicken. What arrived was pulled chicken with jalapenos on the top. Not a huge deal, but the food was not hot, or really warm, at all. The price for the app seemed a bit high as well. $14 for a handful of Saratoga chips, a scoop of pulled chicken, cheese, pretty raw onion strips and cheese. 3/5
The beer was slightly cold, not as cold as it should be. Not sure if the kegs were rotated and not fully before the dinner rush or if the kegerator was not working correctly.
The staff were friendly, but fairly absent from the table area. Again, this could be fixed by having at least one more person at the front waiting on tables or running.
Within an hour, I was able to get a beer and an app. I recognize that this place is new and just opened, and things will get better with time. This is why the review is 4/5 instead of 3/5.
I will be back to see how things improve, as we really like more business like this to succeed and thrive...
Read moreI had been to the bar before and had such an amazing time (except being body checked by an overly drunk person who needed cut off and was getting very out of control in front of staff) but sadly my most recent visit left much to be desired from service perspective. My large party had a 19 year old with us who was a DD, we got past the bouncer without a problem, until we reached the second story of the back building and a bar tender very rudely chased after her and refused and yelled that she needed to go. She had been allowed in 2 months prior to this so after they explained there had been fights between minors who got in, we understood and went to all leave. This bartender proceeded to then talk bad about us to the bouncer while some of the party was still leaving and started to make some pretty sexist comments even though she was female and the 19 year was as well. She said things like "It's because she is a daughter not a son so it's different" and basically admitting the main track down was because she was a female even though she was with their with her entire family, parents included. She was overall very rude the entire process and the shit talking was after the manager apologized for her behavior... honestly left a bad taste...
Read moreJust had my first visit to the 513. Really cute—fresh, nice to look out an open door and clean windows to see Main Street. Excellent Brussels sprouts appetizer and I loved the pulled pork sliders. . French fries were hot and crispy. I’ll be back. One suggestion—-I’m not a beer drinker and your wine choices are weak. I know you aren’t a wine bar, but if you are only going to have four or five choices—choose better wines. Go ahead and charge for them! I like a Sav. Blanc—you don’t offer one. You have a supplier—ask him for better quality varieties. The red blend was below average. The Chardonnay was unmemorable. Overall—I would recommend ( especially to a beer drinker). - and...
