Chubby Bunny Bakery — Restaurant in Hamilton

Let’s just say a few nights ago I fell asleep after having missed my weekly chubby bunny visit, I crashed hard and began to have a dream that I had somehow passed away. It was all very surreal and I was noting some pretty epic stuff about heaven, after a bit of time scouting out the land I walked up a huge mountain pass. Standing at the edge of a stream there was Jesus. I promptly approached him with excitement. Well, imagine my joy and surprise when after he hugged me for a moment he handed me an absolutely beautiful chocolate chubby bunny cupcake.

Yes that’s right. I died, I went to heaven, and Jesus handed me a chubby bunny cupcake. I feel that this dream says a lot of things, but mostly for the sake of this review you might guess that a trip to hamilton is well worth the time to snag a heavenly cupcake. If it’s good enough for the Jesus in my dreams it’s good...

I contacted CBB back in April for a cake for my son’s graduation. Their response was quick and friendly. My cake was due to be picked up on June 1st. When I found out that a huge local event was taking place that day I took a chance that the cake would be ready the day before. I live an hour away but was in the area for an appointment. I waited until an hour before close and all that was left to do was the wording. I waited and was appreciative that I could take my cake home.

The cake was phenomenal, not only in looks but taste and every one who attended had only great things to say about it. I highly recommend Chubby Bunny if you need a GF and DF cake for an event. Make sure to try out their other wonderful treats at their bakery or both Jungle Jim’s locations.

Since my son is gluten/wheat and dairy-free and my husband and I are sensitive to dairy we were so excited to hear that Chubby Bunny was opening a bakery in Hamilton! We have been a long time fan, we always bought the baked goods at Jungle Jim's. The kind lady that helped us out yesterday was very patient with our son who has a very hard time with decision making she even offered him some hummus to sample, he really liked the chocolate coconut variety, and was even brave enough to try the wasabi one! The breakfast cookie I got was so good, our son devoured his pumpkin donut and my husband loved the hot cocoa brownie. I'm super excited that there is a bakery we can go to now that is gluten and dairy free that also isn't too far away from us. We will be back for...
