Bartender didn’t know what an old fashioned was, or what simple syrup was. People at the bar were cool but the bartender was talking shit about me and my friend when we were trying to be as kind as possible about drinks that…. weren’t our favorites. We were saying “oh it’s okay don’t worry about it” fake smiling and we hear the bartender talking about us bitching about how we’re complaining on things. Then my friend says, loudly, that he is stepping out for a smoke. And the bartender tried to accuse me saying “hey your buddy, is he coming back?” And I say “yeah he just went out for a smoke”, but I continue to be chastitized about it like the bartender didn’t believe me. I’m sorry, do you mistake me as daft? If we were going to split, and we would never, one of us wouldn’t stay here. Especially not to take that kinda bullshit. Anyway, we’re trying to be lenient so we still tipped well and all. And we’d love to come back, but not if that bartender is...
