Annette's Country Cooking & Seafood — Restaurant in Hammond

This was our first visit here to Annette’s - we’ve been hearing about it & decided to go in see what it’s all about ! Well, as we entered we were greeted & welcomed .. the staff was very nice . We ordered our drinks , coffee was perfect , as we looked over the menu our waitress checked on us & answered all the questions we had . Placed our order & believe me when I say “They did NOT disappoint” my husband ordered the pancake & eggs - all was perfect ✅ I ordered the Annette’s Breakfast special & guess what it’s WAS PERFECT ✅ eggs over medium - came out just right the first time 🙌🏽 now let me tell you about the prices - The quality of the food 💯 The prices are superb , for the amount of food you get & the quality this place has to have the BEST prices I’ve ever seen & breakfast . I’ve been to a lot of places ! My breakfast was #7 on the menu $6.25 unbelievable ! I pray everyone supports local small businesses like this one . If you haven’t been be sure to stop in at Annette’s . We must go back for my husband to try their red beans - so stay tuned ! I don't even know where to begin. This place is horrible... i worked here and i DO NOT recommend working or eating there. The servers and OWNER all talk bad about their workers behind their backs among each other, including going out of their way to find out personal information on the workers. They constantly downgrade the cooks. There are NO GLOVES in the building. One of the helpers in the kitchen dropped food and still continued to serve it. There's an extreme lack of washing hands. And cross contamination is extremely bad. This place is not sanitary at all. We were threatened more than once that we aren't going to get paid if we messed up anything. I could keep going but I think I've said enough. By far, the worst business I've worked...

The prices are the best we seen in a long time. I got the big breakfast that came with a waffle, three eggs, potatoes, toast, and bacon for $8.50! The potatoes tasted so good with a seasoning, then fried with a crispy crust. Well done! All other food was bland. Obviously, they let you season it the way you want. If you are looking for a less expensive meal, this is the place. Our server was very nice and attentive, but the rest of the staff may have had a bad morning already. Just eat and enjoy, then leave. You won’t spend much money here. Great low prices dating back 20 years ago. When you walk in, it will feel like you entered a time capsule. Enjoy...
