I've been a fan of Jimmy John's for years now, but haven't been in some time. They seem to have made some changes since last I was there, and I hate to say that I think they were for the worst. Least of all, the menu items have been renamed, which caused some confusion, but is ultimately no big deal. They now have a "Gigantic"-size which is 16-inches , but is oddly not cut in half when you get it. Needless to say, it's a bit unwieldy trying to hold almost a foot and a half worth of sub to your face. Everything is now sold a la carte, so you have to specifically order a drink and chips separately if you want what is otherwise a meal deal. Again, not a big deal, but something to keep in mind. The service was friendly and prompt, but the sandwiches themselves were not up to snuff. The bread was so dense and chewy that it hurt to eat. I know that chewy bread is the norm for this kind of deli, but this was above and beyond that. The meats and cheeses were fine, but the proportions of the sandwich were way off. It was mostly shredded lettuce with an unimpressive amount of premium ingredients. Especially when you consider it was almost $25 for 2 sandwiches and 2 medium drinks, no sides. All in all, it was average. The food was certainly tasty, the environment was clean and inviting, and the service was friendly, but the cost, quality, and quantity of the ingredients really bring down what used to be one of my favorite...
Read moreSo those of you who order from Jimmy John’s, this is the tuna sandwich I received from the Hammond store after waiting 45 minutes to receive it!! It may have had a tablespoon of tuna on the entire thing! When I called to complain I was told that she was the “acting” manager and the general manager told her to handle it. Then I was told there was nothing they could do about it! I paid almost $12 dollars for a drink, pickle and chips and this is what I got! So be ware of where you order from and the type of customer service you receive!! I will NEVER order from here again and I’d advise you not...

The Hammond location either needs a new staff or proper training and etiquette for their current staff. When a customer orders curbside and tips, the order should be brought to the customer in their vehicle instead of the customer having to go in to get it themselves (on top of being prompted to make their own drink when they expect it to be brought out with their order).
