Not really a fan of this place. I've been to both locations to pick up pre ordered ice cream, and each time and in each place the employees were very rude. I'm not sure if it's a miserable place to work or not, but I tried to give it a chance a few times, thinking it was not a big deal until my last pre-order where I needed to cancel my order. I tried to cancel the day of but it didn't work out... I called left messages, I emailed a few times, I even texted... weeks went by with no response until I finally sent a stern email, then I finally got a response... apparently they finally refunded me a couple of days before my last email... I didn't know at that point because no one responded in the slightest to tell me... I know they will respond because I've communicated via email before but I guess because I needed to cancel, they didn't feel the need to respond or refund weeks later... the ice cream isn't bad.. it's okay but I wasn't super impressed to want to have to deal with rude customer service every time just for some ice cream... the last episode "working" with them to cancel made my decision to never patron there again... every one is different and maybe your experience will be much better hopefully, but for me this place is just not worth it. I don't usually like to give bad reviews but I felt this one is justified since this wasn't just a one time, second time or third time experience... it seemed to be progressively...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIn all these lands there was never a creamery sorcerer as powerful as these. This college of dessert magic practitioners creates strange and delicious combinations. In the case of my dealings with the mages, the power of the Thai Iced Tea concoction destroyed all negativity and ill thoughts with the delightful flavors. On the other hand, my spirits were lifted to height of a mighty dragon after the highly praised Stuffed French Toast. The later blend brought incredible strawberries and a slightly crunchy texture of sweet bread. My companion had delighted in two as well. The Dark Soul and another called Violet... mysterious. I was only brave enough to request a bite of each as I feared she had the dragonic disease of gold greed for these iced creams. The darker of the two was rich in chocolate and the second took my tongue through a beautiful glade filled with the wonderful fragrance of a field in full bloom.
You may think this is similar to the smith of the cold stone, however these thoughts betray you. This is to compare the greatest wizard, Merlin, to a street grifter. Please mind you, the Cold Stone and other creameries are fine folks crafting good treats but we're speaking of the greatest in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came in with my family on a 95 degree day. Because it was so hot out we couldn't leave my 4lbs dog in the car so we brought him in with us to order our ice cream to go. As I was ordering and holding my dog in my arms(he was being held the entire time and never made a sound), the employee interrupted me to let me know my dog wasn't welcome in their " creamery." She continued emphasizing I didn't realize I was at a creamery. The funny part is when we got to the register with our miniature sized looking ice creams and pathetic looking sundae I quickly realized what type of absolutely ridiculous establishment I was patronizing. A place that thinks they are elite because of their prices. Their claims of "organic ingredients" and "locally owned" are just a gimmick. It was actually just a substandard type of product with a heartfelt story behind it. First and last time I will be a customer. I hope others won't be duped by the nice store front or flashy menu. This silly ice cream shop cannot compete with any of the upscaled chains in the DMV area we were visiting from. They would be laughed...
