Awafi Cafe — Restaurant in Hamtramck

I absolutely adore this place. It’s a Muslim woman owned business and all of the staff are so kind and helpful. It’s also a very clean and comforting environment. Unlike most cafes they play nasheeds and it just makes the environment even more comforting. Food and drink wise their items are actually sooo good. I always get an iced white mocha at every cafe I go to and this is by far the best one I’ve had. The food has a lot of versatility. I love their sandwiches especially the pesto sandwich and their breads they make are amazing. The desserts are a whole other story i don’t know what they put in those but they are so good and not too sweet at all (the mango boba cake is OMG). The strawberry Dubai chocolate is also the best one I’ve had strawberries aren’t even in season but the ones in the dessert are so fat and sweet and juicy like helloo. Meh, nothing special here, just your typical old fashioned dessert spot. The parking is absolutely horrible, barely any parking. The prices are decent but a little bit much if you ask me. The costumer service is garbage. 🙄 They got a kid working back there and he’s to busy on his phone, overall the place looks pretty nice from the inside and they do have a bathroom which is pretty good, most spots wouldn’t have one to be honest with you. The place and the vibes is very good and nice drinks for first time, but when I walked in the guy in the front sitting down playing games, so the little kid end up taking my order, after he finish his game he handed my boiling coffee "mfauar" and the other drink without cup holder and the lid wasn't close right spilled and burn my hand they made new coffee, but I didn't drink it.
