There wasn't much that made me happy about this location, so I'll share my pros first. Pros: Very spacious! Plenty of seating. Drink tasted better than most other Biggby's I've been to. It's VERY clean and inviting.
Cons: They are begging for money every which way you look! When you walk in you don't know where to place your order because the cash register is blocked by...stuff. Lots and lots of STUFF. Including 3 tip jars. They have a "tip jar" with a question (which vacation is better, beach or mountains?) That takes up a ton of space. Next to that is a "normal" tip jar (at least I assumed that's what it was. With so much clutter at the register I guess I could be mistaken what it was for). The barista was kind when she took my order, but they lost out on my sale because I planned on getting food AND a drink. But as soon as I ordered my drink she assumed I was done and gave me my total. I pay and walk to the other end. As I'm standing there, not being engaged by the barista (I've been in multiple Biggby locations, the baristas ALWAYS engage with you as your standing there), I look down at the counter and see ANOTHER tip jar. This one is rudely marked "karma jar". Right next to this "karma jar" is a giant box, asking for donations for suicide prevention. (Why this box is so large is really confusing to me.) To top it off, I look up, and see ANOTHER tip jar inside of the drive through window!
I understand having a jar. What I don't understand is why I overpay for coffee and then am expected to just shower money over all the employees working there!
Every Biggby has a trivia board near the place that customers wait for their orders. The trivia question posted in this location was "Who will win the Fowlerville homecoming game?" 🤔 THAT'S NOT TRIVIA! That is a guess based on an opinion. Trivia is a factual question with factual answers. Help spread knowledge!
Overall the coffee was good (well, as good as Biggby can be), and it is a nice building. If you don't mind all the begging for handouts then you'll probably...
Read moreAt the Fowlerville, Michigan Location, Biggby on my way home from work exhausted with a hour drive Home. Right before closing, about 6:50 PM this past Sunday. I had the most perfect cappuccino that was ever made for me. The espresso wasn’t too Bitter. The perfect amount of foam not too much not too little. It was a beautiful clean white foam. If more barista’s would clean every single Container/utensil that is used to make specialty coffee like this barista did. Every Specialty coffee would be perfect for everyone! And the only reason why I know this is why the cappuccino was perfect. It’s because I watched one other barista and a Biggby in Okemos do this in training and I noticed the big difference in the taste!!!! I rarely ever get this, and I am the type of person who frequents Starbucks and Biggby’s on a daily basis sometimes twice a day, and because my job requires me to travel throughout the state of Michigan I have only had a Perfect, beautiful tasting cappuccino twice. Bravo to the barista who gave me my cappuccino on Sunday, you are...
Read moreI LOVE THESE BARISTAS. I am not from the area, I live on the east side of the state and had to travel to the west side for some volunteer work and I stopped in here, Sophie and Brian are the SWEETEST. On my way back to the east side I made sure I went out of my way to stop here again. They made me feel so comfortable and seen. As a former barista of 3 years working both at biggby and Starbucks, this customer service was the best I’ve ever had. They are very genuine people. They made sure my drink was exactly right. I get an iced coffee and they wanted to make sure the color was exactly right for me though I didn’t even mention anything about the color. (Iced coffee drinkers know what I mean) and when I came back, different baristas helped me and they did the same thing. I hope they all get raises in the near future. Please tip your baristas and show them so much love, they deal with so much crap for such minimum pay and they show up to make OUR DAY. Thank you to my Biggby...
