Plenty of food and the food tasted great! Price is reasonable and some seating for a family of 5. Well worth stopping here. GPS had us in front of Wendy's it is actually next to Fowlerville Dental and behind Wendy's.

I love China Gourmet... friendly family owned restaurant. Most of the menu is homemade as far as I can tell and I did go to culinary school. Helpings are also generous.

This business deserves more kindness! Some complain about the owners limited English, or just when they're overwhelmed and having a bad day. Put yourself in their shoes... they came here to build dreams not for just themselves but their children as well. The owners are there 6 days all day... they sacrifice their own time to feed the community and to send their children to good schools including MSU. Every good parent wants to see their children have more than they've had in life and put their children's wellbeing, education, needs, and wishes before their own. ❤️ I've been dining here for over 10 years! China Gourmet is number 1 !!! Family owned and operated by a local family in Fowlerville ❤️ Small town friendlines, supporting eachother in our community, and hospitality makes it great 💜💛 Always generous portions, good food, and deals! I love the chicken with mixed vegetable, wonton soup, chicken + cashew, and crab ragoons! I support them becoming a carryout only restaurant since COVID ! The building isn't super big as it is and they need the extra room for supplies to make sure they can take care of every order. I remember when they offered dine-in years ago, they didn't have much room for a decent size dining...

Not your standard takeout Chinese food, but still pretty good and the only non-(diner/fastfood/pizza) option in the area. It's a family run place in a small town and I like having them here, but they need to change the pickup window or I don't think I can order from here anymore. In response to COVID they closed off the restaurant and created a tiny 8X10 boxed in room to pick up food. The problem is, the food is never ready in the amount of time they tell you, so people pack into this tiny room to wait for their food to the point that no one else can even fit through the door. So even if your food is ready, you can't get inside to pay and pick it up. So a line forms outside. The last time I ordered they told me 25 minutes but I had to wait 45 minutes just for there to be enough room for me to squeeze in to tell them I was there. I get protecting your staff/family but you could have separated the kitchen from the restaurant and left a bigger space for the customers. What they did shows a total disregard for operational efficiency and customer safety.. I hope they change it soon before they lose too...

The food is very good. We've been buying there for a long time. But! You can't understand the woman answering the call! She understands English, but when you ask a question she can't talk clearly enough for you to understand her. Now under some situations this might be considered quaint. But come on... she's been there a long time. Years! Don't try to convince me she hasn't had time to learn the language. She's lazy. Maybe she owns the place. I don't know. But I do know the next time I call and she can't speak clearly, I'm hanging up and going to Howell. She's disrespectful. Learn the language or step aside. I won't put up with it. Oh and when you ask for your change? No! I'm not tipping you for poor language and putting my carry out dinner out...
