About 3 weeks ago I went in this deli because I wanted to try it. I pass by it on my way to work. I went in, placed my order for a small turkey cold cut hoagie with extra onions. I paid, said please and thank you, asked to use the restroom and waited patiently. I did feel it took a little long because I was the only one waiting for my order for the first couple of minutes, then one other lady placed an order but nevertheless I kept to myself and smiled politely. When my sandwich was ready I left happily, eager to eat. When I opened my sandwich it was amazing, lots of meat and extra onions as I requested but something caught my eye, something shiny, I picked out a tiny metal shard that was just laying on top of my sandwich as if it was a garnish. My mind wondered if it was aluminum and perhaps they kept cold cuts in aluminum to keep them cold but it didn’t crush between my fingers, it was a shard. I thought ok maybe it came from the surface it was prepared on , I don’t know I just know it was hard as hell and sharp. I was so hungry and reasoned that I was able to pluck it out so it would be fine. I ate and ate until I had one bite left. I stopped to take a drink when the small bite that I had left opened and in it caught by a reflection was a much bigger piece of metal and this time I knew it was definitely not aluminum as it was sharp and long. I had no explanation for how this could have gotten in my hoagie. All I could think about was thank GOD I took a drink because I would have cut up my mouth. Can you even imagine? Biting down on A metal shard? I was so angry at this crisis averted and a little mad at myself for not bringing the sandwich back when I picked out the first shard, now in my lap was basically a bite left and two shards that I told myself was it really worth having to convince them that I truly found shards of metal in my sandwich when I basically ate the whole thing? What if no one believed me? Then I’d just get even more angry and I really didn’t feel like having to scream at people. I have no problems with anyone who works there, it was my first time there, I was polite yet..how did two metal shards get into my sandwich? Who? What? And why? I don’t know but I don’t feel safe buying food from there again no matter how delicious it was, my mouth could have been cut up. Can you imagine a metal shard stuck in your gums? Or slicing up your throat if you by chance didn’t get to chew on it and just swallowed? Scary. So no i don’t...
Read moreDelio’s offers a wide variety of sandwiches for both breakfast and lunch. Between the soft bread, deliciously melted cheese, and tasty ham, my meal was a breakfast to remember. The prices were reasonable especially given the generous portions. The employees checked in on us to see if we needed anything without being overbearing. A little surprise that I wasn’t expecting was that the coffee was quite tasty. Usually in small delis, they make one big batch of coffee and keep it warm for hours and it gets progressively more acrid. My coffee was fresh and a lovely complement to my meal. We had a great experience and there’s definitely a Delio’s cheesesteak...
Read moreLove the staff, great dedicated people. A sandwich starts at its bread, and by far these guys have the best hoagie rolls. Bread is crusted golden to perfection on the outside, soft & perfect consistency inside. Next they perfect the combination of deli meats that pair well with each other, to make a variety of sandwiches. Lastly they add local produced veggies, layered perfectly, where it's like taking a bite and getting a taste of every veggie. Excellent sub place, family owned. You really can't get better than this in the valley. Oh and did I tell you how clean this place is, you'd think it was a...
