I hate to leave bad reviews but I had a terrible experience here tonight while doing a doordash. everything was fine until i pulled up to the window. the girl at the window seemed to have no idea what was going on. she at first told me the person couldn’t get their ice cream because the machine was down and i quote “i know they got other things but some people would be disappointed about the ice cream.” so i asked the customer if they wanted a refund or something else to which they wanted a refund on their ice cream. she then said okay and i think she thought they wanted an entire refund on their order with multiple food items. i sit there for a couple minutes to which she comes out and tells me they can’t do the refund and the person has to on their own end. weird but okay. i sit and continue waiting for the food and then she comes out several more minutes later not even recognizing im the same person. instead she gives me a total for the car that is now behind me. i let her know im still the doordash and the order got food. she questions that they got food and i show her the order then she then proceeds to tell me that in order for this person to get a refund for the shakes, they need to cancel their entire order and basically they never even made the food. to me if you get a doordash order and the ice cream machine is down you still prepare everything else. what it seems is the food was never even prepared from the moment i arrived. i can also issue the refunds for the milkshakes on my own and i otherwise still should’ve been able to receive their order. i let the people know and they told me they were fine not getting the refund and just wanted their food which i don’t believe they had ever even started making. i go back through the drive thru and sit at the speaker and am never acknowledged. the girl wasn’t rude to me at all but i believe she didn’t want to deal with me or fixing the situation which never should’ve been an issue in the first place. i understand they’re understaffed but that’s not an excuse to not do your job. i have worked in two fast food locations and the way they handled everything is bizarre to me. my job as a door dasher is to deliver food and i couldn’t even pick it up. also it’s not the customers job to get their refund and have to cancel an entire order because sonic never had the decency to try and prepare it. i’ve had problems here before and have always given sonic the benefit of the doubt as a customer but i will not be back anytime soon. also i want to say i didnt give the girl a hard time in any way, i tried to be understanding but nothing she said made any sense and i wasnt going to argue so the order ended up being cancelled and i left. sorry for the long rating i just didnt expect to sit at a sonic for almost 20 minutes to be given nothing with absolutely no...
Read moreEverything was good, nothing wrong with the quality, but the customer service was a bit snarky. We paid $25.00 for two #2 combo meals, around 9:15 pm. We waited for awhile for someone to come for the payment, and hand us our milkshakes, and then proceeded to wait for another lengthy period of time for someone to come back with our food. There was only 1 other car in the entire parking lot, that pulled up behind us just before we received our food. In the time frame between the payment/ drinks, and receiving food, we noticed my husband's oreo milkshake had the whipped cream and cherry, but my strawberry milkshake just had a fountain soda lid. When they brought our food, I explained I should have specified that I wanted the whipped cream/ cherry when I ordered, and I could pay an extra charge, but would she mind changing the lid to my drink and add the whipped cream and cherry. She took the drink, that may I add, had not been tampered with, by a straw or anything. When she brought it back I took it thanked her and proceeded on our way. I looked down to pick off my cherry, and it was a small deformed cherry, lying on top of the smallest squirt of whipped cream imaginable. It just seemed like a petty action, considering you weren't busy, hours from closing, and we were polite, offered to pay extra, and patient while waiting a good 10-15 minutes to receive our full order. If this was the first time, I had experienced this service there, I would not have bothered sharing this, but it has become such a regular occurrence, we have an inside joke about it, and several of these occurrences happened, without any special order request, or sending anything back. Read moreMy son wanted to try sonic for the first time so we decided to give it a shot, well wouldn’t ya know it, we waited in the drive through line with several other and nobody was taking orders, finally an employee came out and said the headset was having issues and for us to please pull forward, I thought great all these cars and they look understaffed, the employees are probably gonna be nasty to deal with, to my surprise, a lady came out, hand wrote our order and gave us the total!! She was awesome, very pleasant, friendly and just all around nice, we pulled up to the window only to find yet another smiling happy employee, very pleasant,apologized for making my ice coffee the wrong size,,,, it was larger then what i asked for!!! And then the food came out nice and fresh and hot!!! He warned us to be careful especially if we were giving it to a kid because it just came out of the fryer!!!! That’s customer service, clearly they were struggling with the equipment but man their personalities and just awesome customer was over the top!!! Hats off to these employees!!! If I had a business that required face to face customer service I would steal them from you in a heartbeat!!!
