My fiancé and I ate there almost every weekend for the past two years which equates to thousands of dollars spent (normally our bill is just under $50). There are many servers and hosts who recognize us. Most servers we’ve had, go above and beyond for us! We really appreciate the servers who have taken care of us. Our problem is the food. We had a very long streak that the cooks were doing well and food was done correctly. That streak has unfortunately ended and my fiancé can not get a medium steak first try anymore for the past 4-5 times we’ve been there. I get my food and then he has to wait for them to redo his steak to only get one that slightly better or super fatty. We tried talking to the male manager there (I believe his name is Rocky) during previous visits and he brushed off the fact that my fiancé had to wait for his steak to be done correctly. Never offers any discounts for the inconvenience and doesn’t seem to care if people like their food or not. He makes his rounds to check it off his list but doesn’t care. Today was no different. Our food came out and my fiancé cut into his steak and it was well done when it was supposed to be medium! He sent it back and had to wait while I was eating because I didn’t want my food to get cold. When the new steak was done, the manager brought it out and my fiancé voiced his concerns to the manager (already knowing that the manager wasn’t going to do anything so it’s pointless). The manager ignored him and just asked him to cut into the steak to see if it was done correctly or not. Once my fiancé confirmed he was going to keep it, the manager walked away without saying anything else about the experience. The manager is highly inconsiderate and should not be employed by the company. The new steak was cooked better but almost half of it was fat! We will not be going back to that location due to that managers lack of customer service and the cooks inability to cook a decent steak first try. Read moreI have always loved Texas Roadhouse. Usually a great steak and awesome margaritas. However, last night while dinning in I ordered my steak medium rare, as always. When it came out the waitress asked me to cut into it. As I did I saw it was overcooked but I said it's fine. Our waitress went above and beyond and said no thats overcooked let me get you another one. I was really impressed at her initiative. After waiting almost 20 minutes I finally got my meal. My boyfriend had already finished eating, so I asked for a box to go. He was waiting for my meal to come out but I told him to go ahead and eat while his was warm. He asked for his burger medium and that was also overcooked, but we did not say anything. As we were about to pay the bill I asked our waitress if we could possibly get a discount as we were not even able to share our meal together. Normally I would NEVER say anything but this was our first time out in a while with everything going on in the world and I was just really disappointed. The waitress was very kind and said yes absolutely I completely understand let me go get my manager. Not too long after a woman came out and asked how everything was. I said it was okay. She looked at me and said no it wasn't explain to me what happened. I proceeded to tell her and she cut me off and said well if you actually get your steak again and it's cooked right I don't normally give a discount. I said I understand and she proceeded to cut me off. She said I don't normally do this but I can look over the bill and see what I can do. She came back and said I was able to take $5.00 off but thats the best I can do. She proceeded to say again, like I said, I don't typically do this. Read moreWhat an incredibly frustrating and disappointing visit this evening. I ordered the 12 oz NY Strip with a baked potato (just butter and no sour cream), and broccoli. My wife asked for just a bowl of chili, but asked that it be brought out at the same time as my steak. In addition, we ordered a blooming onion. The onion arrived within 5 min., but then the chili showed up about 2 minutes later. We nicely explained to the person who brought out the chili that we had asked to have it brought at the same time as my entree, so he brought it back to the kitchen. When the steak arrived, the baked potato was plain, so I asked the person who brought it for some butter, as well as some butter for the broccoli, plus reminded him about the chili. I cut into the steak and took a very small bite to see if it was cooked per my request....it was, and from the tiny bit I ate, it was pretty good. I then decided to wait until my wife got her chili (and the butter for the baked potato and broccoli) before going any further. We waited...and waited. Eventually the server stopped by and said the said they were still waiting on the butter. When it did finally arrive, I asked for a fresh bowl of broccoli since the original one was cold by that point. When she brought it, it came with a side of sour cream, and no butter. We flagged down our server and pointed out the error. After waiting about 5 to10 minutes, we gave up and walked out leaving about 95% of our meal uneaten. We went to Chili's instead.
