Yay Beignet — Restaurant in Hapeville

I seen this place on TikTok so I already knew i was heading over since it's not far from my Work. I pop into the Small yet Cozy business letting them know " I seen you guys on TT, I Love Beignet(s) I haven't had them in a while because I only had them in New Orleans, BUT I HEARD YOU'RE GOOD SO I'M HERE" I know, run on sentence right? ✅️ Smikes across the board so now its time to order.

I say well 1rst off ; I know I need a dozen because a couple isn't gonna do 🤣 He also tells me he has sauces to go with ...Bourbon, Caramel, Strawberry - Let me try all 3 please 🙋🏽‍♀️

While waiting becausethe Beignet(s) are made to order, I chat a little because I already know this won't be my 1stvtime here. I learn about their homemade ice creams & Ethiopian Coffee. When I say this I mean it with my entire being. I felt welcomed. This is definitely a gem 💎 in the city of Hapeville & its not to be missed. O & the Beignet.....SUCCULENT!!! They were hot , fresh & had the right amount of powder on them. Hands down the best! The price was reasonable & Yes I'll be back!!...

My wife and I had a taste for beignets and Yay came up in several different searches. We decided to give them a try since we've never had Ethiopian coffee which was a featured item. I have had beignets in New Orleans from the famous establishments and in my opinion, these are some of the best beignets I've ever had.😋 We ordered an assortment of; plain-no powder confection sugar, glazed, and traditional powder confection. We first tasted the plain beignets with no confection sugar. They were so delicious light and fluffy, we did not need any dipping sauce. The glaze and powder confection only added to the delicious delight. Let me say the glaze enhanced the beignets flavor without tasting like glazed donuts. The traditional powder confection beignets totally satisfied our cravings. We also tried the bourbon praline dip and it was a complimentary delight. The Ethiopian coffee was also very good non acidic and smooth. We were served by the owners who were very pleasant and inviting.

I highly recommend giving them a try when in the mood for some good...

I'm not gonna down this black business. The beignets were great. I took a sip of my wife's iced coffee... I'm not a coffee person but she is... she didn't like it... it was horrid to me BUT again I don't drink coffee. My biggest gripe with this establishment is being stared at like an alien or something when entering. We walked in and they barely greeted us and the young lady working the register may need a few people customer service skills. They don't have a billion options so I suggest they really sell the few options they have and have a warmer invite. If you like coffee and beignets... Its not bad. The beignets are really good all things considered. I want to see them improve and grow. Maybe offer teas and other coffee options. It's a very small and cozy establishment. I pray growth for them...
