Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Happy Valley

6 people working and there is absolutely no fire or sense of urgency to ANY of their employees! Came in and there was 3 people including myself to make an order. The gentleman in front of me had an order of 4 sandwiches and the employee taking his order moved super slow. It then came to taking my order which I announced promptly because a sandwich order isn’t truly rocket science unless it has a lot of modifications. Then, the line started growing and actually getting to where it was at the door. You would think more of an urgency would’ve grown from at least 1 employee but it was like they all scattered and looked lost. Then another employee asked the gentleman behind me how he liked his sandwich which this gentleman could see I was getting frustrated because they didn’t have many condiment or topping options so the sandwiches shouldn’t have taken so long and he advised the gentleman to finish my order. I thanked him but still what should’ve taken less than 10 minutes to order, make and have in my hands and me out of the store took a total of almost 20 minutes. The location isn’t that big so each employee should be able to “man their own station” versus 2 people to one til and everyone else just scattered and standing around. Usually the sandwiches from here turn out alright, but there are a couple large issues with this store in particular; number one: they leave open the bread rack most days, letting the bread dry out. This is their worst offense, and pretty inexcusable. The other thing is their unwillingness to ask what you want on your sandwich. It's like they're trying to get your sandwich closed as quickly as possible, and I have to shout out my toppings before it's too late (my first Jersey Mike's experience was at this location, and so I had no idea what I was missing out on because they gave me no clue I had to ask for Mayo/Mustard seperately). Every other Jersey Mike's I've been to makes extra sure you're getting the sandwich you want. I visited today and was impressed with both the quality and the service. I asked for advice on what bread to choose; half the crew suggested rosemary parmesan while the other half were fans of the white. I chose the rosemary and it didn't disappoint. The rest of the sandwich was fresh and flavorful. What more is there to be said?

But let's talk about the service! I didn't get names, but they were there at noon today. I suppose that's easy enough to look up. Each member went out of their way to make me feel welcome and make suggestions. Friendliness and knowledge are tough to come by in fast food Whatever you're doing to motivate your people, keep it up! Those four were amazing!
