I was a regular at this restaurant until I got ripped off on my order in the driver thru and lied to by the employee at the window that my sweet and sour sauce was in the bag and it wasn’t. I paid $19+change to be lied to by an employee. I went inside the first trip and told the employee at the counter that my sauce wasn’t in the bag. He said, "It was in the bag.” I said, "No, it wasn’t.” Then he and the manager tell me that it’s your rule at McDonald’s that I have to order chicken nuggets to get sauce for my fries. I bought two combo meals and upgraded them to large. They still denied me sauce. The manager (Hispanic lady) then says it’s a .30 fee for sauce. I left and went to my vehicle and brought the bag of food and the two beverages back and told them to refund me. The manager then tells me that it’s McDonald’s rule to not give me my sauce because I didn’t order chicken nuggets. I told her to refund me. I told her I’m a regular that comes here everyday. So, she was going to give me my refund until this blonde haired manager comes up and inserts herself to create and further the conflict. She tells me to lower my voice because there were children. I told her then give me my full refund. She then threatens to call the police. I said do it. Call the police. She had the audacity to try and kick me out without my refund. The Hispanic lady then told her, she will give me my refund. Meanwhile, I’m waiting for it. She (the blonde) says I need your card. I told her I didn’t pay with a card. I paid cash. The other manager had my receipt in her hand. She said, “ don’t ever come back here again.” I said, "I won’t be back trust me.” There are plenty of other McDonald’s to choose from. I discovered in the app (had I ordered my food on there) I would have not charged me for sauce and also would have charged me the correct price because at the drive thru, I used my app code. Here is proof on the app that my bill was supposed to be $17. I will be requesting to get in touch with the owner. Bad business and scammed me on my order to begin with when I used my 20% off app code at the drive thru. I suggest this place find better managers and employees. Nobody is forcing you to work in fast food at a McDonald’s. Screwing over customers and treating them like garbage is not helping you and your business.
I’m also a public figure and a law student. If she had refused to not give me my money back after returning food and requesting ny refund I would have definitely filed a report on that...
Read moreI live closer to two other McDonald's. But, I will always go out of my way to visit this one.
I've worked at 3 different McDonald's in my past owned by three different owners. Therefore, I know what McDonald's can be at its best or its worst; I've worked at both types.
This McDonald's has three things going for it that the two close to my house don't.
1 - The soda at this location always has good carbonation; it's clear that they don't wait until the canister is empty but actually keep it refilled on a regular schedule. Therefore, my soda is never flat and this makes the food taste better and more flavorful. 2 - The staff is friendly and efficient. It's hard to find a fast food location that has both kind employees and hard-working employees. This location has both. The line is usually pretty long at this location but it takes less time to get through the line than at a less busy location. (My one complaint is that they don't always use their name tags.) 3 - The food is cooked correctly every time. When I go to other locations, I often get soggy fries or oily hash browns (a sign that they ignored the timer and took them out of the oil too early to save time). I've never had improperly cooked fries or hash browns at this location. Other locations will keep hamburger patties in the warmer too long, making it so that the cheese doesn't melt and you can't taste the salt and pepper. At this location, my patty is always fresh, making the onions and pickles taste better too. It's clear that the manager here cares about quality and it shows.
Special note about cleanliness: This location is newer so it's no surprise that the building looks nice with fresh paint and fresh sidewalks. But, it's also clear they care about their image. The drive thru is always swept with no straw wrappers or other random trash. The windows don't have random stickers on them like other places. Again, it's clear they care about the way they are seen. The lobby (currently closed due to Coronavirus) is always clean. And the bathrooms have good ventilation so they don't...
Read moreI stop in to this location sometimes several times a week to get breakfast. I really like the sweet tea but for whatever reason not just this location but many others can't seem to keep the sweet tea fresh. When you get it it tastes disgusting. I've gone in before and said hey this tea is bad and they look at me like I'm speaking a foreign language. I've gone into this particular location at least twice that I can think, since it's my local to me, and said hey this tea is not fit to drink do you have any more and they just shrug their shoulders at me like they don't know what I'm talking about. Is it so hard for someone to taste test the product that you are selling once in a while to see if it's actually fit to be consumed? It's sad because it's one of the few products at McDonald's that I do actually like and get on a regular basis but it doesn't seem like the chain as a whole can keep it straight. Sadly this morning I stopped in earlier than I normally do and they were having issues in the drive up so I went to the first window and no one is there. I see a woman finally and she wouldn't even come to the window and very abruptly gives me a finger to go the the second window. I go to the next window another woman comes up and says you shouldn't be here you should be at the speaker. And I explained the issue to her she says fine, what's your order? So I gave her my order and then I get this rotten tea that isn't drinkable. It would be great if a little quality control could be implemented. I realize it's fast food but if you can't even eat ot drink it why am I bothering to even stop at these places?
Revisited after a few weeks. The tea has been good every time. Hopefully it continues. Im changing my stars if...
