Originally, I loved Papa John's pizza. They provided great service and great food. However, the most recent experience by myself and my husband has left us greatly grossed out. We each ordered 1 large pizza (yeah, I know...). As we began eating, my husband noticed a strand of hair on his pizza. He took it off, along with that small piece of pizza. Moments later, he noticed what appeared to be a very obvious thumb/finger print embedded in the cheese of the pizza. So he cut that part off. I was a little disgusted, and so was he, understandably. It wasn't long before we finished eating about 3 slices each (he never gets full that quick...) and put the remaining pizza in ziploc bags and into the fridge. Well the next day when he came home for lunch, I was about to warm us up some of the good 'ole leftover pizza. I got his out first and as soon as I unzipped the ziploc bag, I noticed what at first seemed to be a spider hanging from a spider web underneath the crust of a slice of pizza. I was stunned, to say the least. So i picked it off to take a closer look and lo and behold! It was no spider, but what looked to be a booger! To avoid a transference of the power of suggestion, I gave it to my husband without telling him what I thought it looked like. Surprisingly enough (sarcasm), he thought it looked like a booger! I was not so much infuriated as I was utterly disgusted, in a mild shock, and overall turned off from that cheesy filth. Needless to say, the rest of that crap went into the trash and I called Papa John's to speak with the manager. You would expect the story gets resolved here, but actually it doesn't. After telling the manager about the filth we found on our pizza and giving him our address, order number, my name and cell number, he was polite and told me he would look into it and get back with me. He also asked if we knew anyone personally who worked there, which we do not. So here is the kicker: I never got any response or call back from them. But let's just say I'm not letting it go without a fight. I will never be ordering from them again and I will spread the word as much as I can. I don't know what was wrong with whoever prepared that pizza, but they ought to be fired and given a year's worth of lessons on personal hygiene and...
Read moreListen I normally Love Love Love Papa John's. This location to be exact! The staff is normally always friendly and up beat and most of them would recognize me because I am here a lot as it's my daughter's favorite spot. With all of that being said this past Thursday I sent my son in to get the pizza (we always do carryout because of the $8.99 special) and when he comes home he tells me the pizza was $76 😯. Ok nooo let me call... In the middle of my daughter's party.. so I get the call center and explain, he is very understanding and explains no just go back and we will adjust that because I am looking and they are $8.99. He transfers me to the Heights location and I explain again. This guy is so rude and nasty and I am explaining to him how this is a easy fit and he is like no you want me to take these pizzas back refund your money make new pizzas and charge you a discounted price that's a lot. YALL ALL I WANTED WAS FOR HIM TO ADJUST THE PRICE! He said drive back here and bring the pizzas because if you touched them I can't refund your money. WE HADN'T but wanted to keep the same pizzas because we were in the middle of my daughter's party and didn't want to wait. We get there he is a heavy set white guy (maybe a different nationality) glasses and a mean mug on his face but no name on his name tag. He refunds the money and I purchase the exact same pizzas at $8.99 after he opens every single box to make sure they are untouched. UNBELIEVABLE. He had an employee prepping to make 4 new pizzas and tells her don't worry about making those with an attitude. The point of this review is to say DO BETTER! NOT to say don't go there because the food is amazing and the staff is normally great! I just need Corporate or whoever is over the employees to have a conversation with this guy about...
Read moreDeceptive prices and declining quality. When it says you can get a $12 pizza as a special, you expect to pay around $19 after delivery fees and taxes. No. They charged me $20 for the pizza $5 for delivery and a buck something for taxes. Then they take $3 off the $15 pizza, which would make $12, but the base charge for the pizza was $20! I expect to pay $23 after tip for your $12 advertised pizza. Why am I paying $30 for a $12 "special"? I understand there is inflation, but to lie to me about the price? It's a shame. This used to be the best pizza. The quality has also gotten worse. Domino's and Pizza hut honestly have the same quality pizza now. Also, they never play these games with the price. If this reaches the eyeballs of any cooperate types, y'all really need to get it together. I would normally order once or twice a month, now it's about 3 times a year, just to see if if it's any better. I'm done though. I'll order again only if I find out they fixed the problems. Y'all are losing customers and I can't get a good pizza...
