Chuck's Ice House/Volleybar — Restaurant in Harlingen

Anyplace that has a FXRS plaque on the wall is gnarly in my book. Has a Central Texas/SPI groove without any BS. Beer is 100% Texas cold. The service is always beyond reproach. I've heard tails of sharks in the waters close to the pool tables but a friendly game is available as well! The jukebox is straight up possessed but it's FREE... This place has Energy, strong but good! In conclusion, it's the kinda place you can leave your phone and money on the bar, go to the outside restroom!!! Come back without worry of it being gone... Plotted....

I've actually never been to the Volleybar. I get my windshield fixed at StreetSmart. This guy has a tent set up in their parking lot. This retired guy David used to run it. He did very good work and all his work is guaranteed. He doesn't work there anymore. His grandson has taken over the operation and he does good work too. He was trained by his grandpa. Buckets of beer were too pricey. $8 dollar pizza was store bought. Burnt mostly. Very limited variety of toppings. Nachos were stale. Not a Bar and Grill that's for sure. Service was slow, bartender was rude and looked frustrated. She doesn't seem to like working there. Looked bothered when customers would order. Restrooms are outside. Place is small.
