3•15•25 1st time here decided to come in and give it a try and see what they were hyped about. Look guys it's good but I wouldn't say the greatest the menu looks big but it isn't alot of repeatorial foods anyways ordered the Joe's house special comes with fajita, 1 cheese enchiladas, 1 taco rice beans and guacamole. Now fajita was thin and ok, the enchilada i don't wet think it has enchilada sauce it's just cheese so meh! It's too bland tortilla inside. Isn't even moist, just dried with the cheese, so technically, this is a lazy enchilada IYKYK.. tortillas, they are not even soft and get super hard. I had to tell them to bring fresh ones, but I guess they make a stack earlier, and whatever is left, they reheat and aren't freshly made. Rice and beans, as usual, everyone's go-to on plate rice was cooked well. The other plate we had was enmoladas that were there. Like I said, enchiladas don't have flavor as it should be, so yeah, they bland. They are pricey, but it's not a restaurant. I'd say it's a must to go. For the portion, it's there, but the quality isn't. That's why I scored it a ☆☆☆ staff is friendly yet took long to attend us when they sat us down. Do I recommend it well? It's your call, but as for me, nah, I won't.. just expected better from all the hype. As usual, a restaurant gets popular, and then, in the end, it slacks serve cheap with higher prices. I know inflation, but that's...

Read moreUPDATE My parents went this weekend and reported everything was phenomenal. I got a text that all has been restored and everything is well in Pepe-land. We can all now live happily ever after!
New cook alert. I have been going to Pepe's for years. I used to go when it was Antonio's too. I live in Corpus and every time I visit the valley, my family and I make it a point to come here. Their fajitas were immaculate! Super tender and a tiny bit crispy with unbelievable flavor. But for the very first time, the food was disgusting. The fajitas were chewy and not the signature style we came to love. They are more like boiled cheap taqueria style. The ribs were also off. It used to be tradition. Tragic actually. Anyhow, my mother asked and yes, they have a new cook. That shouldn't be an excuse. Recipes should go with the cook. They belong to the restaurant and they should learn the Pepe's method. Heartbroken. RIP Pepe's Mex...
