Extremely disappointed. Today was the second time that my husband and I have ordered dinner here and they messed up part of our order. It's frustrating to get all the way home and find out something is wrong. I didn't write a bad review the first time but I am this time.
After realizing part of the order was messed up, I called Silverlake (Concord) and asked for a manager. Somehow there was no manager available, however I did hear the employee (who was on the phone with me) ask another "so say that there's no manager here?"...yeah, that sounds suspect. It just seemed like there was a manager actually there but they weren't willing to come to the phone.
Moving on, next I addressed the issue with our order and how they forgot to add sauce (which gives the meal the most flavor). How did they miss that? I don't even know.
I also mentioned how, my husband or I were really not interested in driving back out, when we shouldn't have had to deal with this in the first place. They told us "the only thing that they could do" was make us another one for us to drive back out and pick up. Really? How about a partial refund of our order? Why not that? I asked for that instead and they said they aren't able to process a refund for the one entree. That's pretty ridiculous to me. In that case, go ahead and just refund the entire order then for YOUR mistake. We only ordered 2 entrees. Not a lot.
Honestly, had they just provided a refund given the poor experience, that would've helped and I wouldn't be here typing this review. Because that would've somewhat made up for it and we'd possibly consider giving them another chance. But no. This was a terrible experience and terrible service. I'm also just now seeing how they have a 3.9 Google rating and similar complaints. Makes sense. We won't be coming back and we won't be recommending this...
Read moreI’m only giving 2 stars because thank god my food was hot and the first time I came here a few months ago, I had a great experience. But each visit ever since then, there’s been something wrong.
Tonight was Valentine’s and even though it was busier than when I usually go, there were still tables open. My guess is that the owners were the waitors tonight. I waited 10 min to get seated, even when they both walked right by me to help other customers who were already seated and talked about and pointed to me. I finally got seated and ordered. They brought my drink with no straw so that was about another 5 min of waiting since they didn’t bring their black box of napkins, straws, and chopsticks first. My bowl of ramen came but of course the special ramen spoon didn’t come with it and the waitress had the audacity to bring me a regular silver spoon. So boom, another 5 min of waiting. As I was eating, I even noticed that their interaction with other customers was more pleasant than with me.
I usually don’t try to write reviews when they’re only negative but I couldn’t help but to feel some kind of way when I was the only one who got treated with this kind of service. The younger people who work during the day give much better service but next time I’m gonna have to see if there’s a difference between this location and the one uptown.
**I came back to add to this. The first time I ever came here, there was a host stand and you had to wait to be seated. On this night, I assume was my first time being back since they removed the host stand and you could seat yourself. Regardless, I should have been greeted when I walked in and at the very least, there needs to be a sign that says you can...
Read moreLast night 1/6/20 my husband and I placed an online order for 2 Veggies and 1 side of edamame at 5:12pm. We arrived at 5:48pm and our order, along with 2 other gentlemen's to-go orders, had not been started yet. After 10 more minutes of waiting we confirmed with the cook, who was visibly upset and seemingly abandoned in the kitchen (kept saying things like "This is SO MESSED UP!" and a visiting associate named Matthew shared his understanding that several kitchen associates had walked out) that our order had not been started yet. Once it got to be 1 hour since we'd placed the order, my husband asked a blonde female associate to please cancel and refund our order. Here is why I'm writing this review with such a low rating: the Silverlake Ramen response was that they do not cancel or refund online orders, period. We further explained to the visiting server Matthew (very kind and professional) that we had a 7PM virtual appointment we were risking missing, had been waiting an hour, and wanted a refund & cancellation (again, since the food had not been made yet this should not be an issue) but he said he was not sure who the manager was or what their policies were (it was pretty chaotic with people running around and yelling in the kitchen). We got our food home and it was not good like it usually is, noodles mixed into the edamame which looked old, and really just would have preferred our cancellation and refund. Given that we are in a pandemic and money is tight, we will...
