I was extremely disappointed! Booked a party here for my son's 6th birthday & from the moment we arrived it was the absolute worse from poor communication to piss poor customer service. We were checked in then told to wait & our host would assist us. After almost 30 mins, I finally asked for the host as we were just standing on the side of the trailer & I was advised to just go ahead and start playing puttputt then someone would get me to a party area. Fast forward, we're done playing and back at the trailer asking for further details as we were instructed. By this time, we are on the 3rd party host who informs is that our initial party host had left for the day & the other guy who was supposed to help couldn't be found so, she would have to go clean our area shortly as there was another party finishing up. We wait a little longer & she has yet to proceed towards the area that she's to clean so, I ask; "Do we just stand here, or what?" She telks us we can go sit in the area and she will come clean it. We watched the host sashay back & forth with what seemed to be people she knew who were visiting the park. After atleast 20 mins, she was stopped as she passed our table again & asked if she had forgotten about us and she responded by saying, "that's what I'm about to do." She did come spray & wipe the tables & asked if we brought in a cake. She took our drink orders and went to retrieve the cupcakes & goodie bags I brought in. A young lady who was not a staff but was identified as one of the people observed walking around with our host came over & asked what our drink orders were AGAIN. She was then observed going back over to the trailer & telling the host. My husband & I seen what looked like our pitchers of drinks just sitting while the host engaged with the young lady who had previously came & asked for our orders so, we walked over & got them ourselves. At this point, our host rushed to grab cups & straws and informed us that we didn't have to do this as she would've taken care of it. I asked for napkins which took forever to come. I asked for small plates which never came. A party that witnessed what we were experiencing was finishing up & offered us their leftover plates, napkins, & a pizza that they hadn't touched. I asked the host about tickets and she found her manager who accompanied me to the front trailer & he inquired about my party experience to which he was informed of how disappointed I was. I told him in addition to this that no balloons had been provided, no popcorn, nor goodie bags as advertised in the party package. I observed him talking to her and minutes later she returned with less than half filled popcorn boxes. When asked about this the manager informed us that the boxes should've been filled and we told the hostess what her manager had just informed us. Her response, "He hasn't been here long and doesn't know what he's talking about." My sister then informed her that she could just take the popcorn back & she told my sister, "no, y'all can throw ot away" to which my sister responded by saying, "I'm not throwing it away...I don't work here, you do." The hostess then tells her, "I don't clean up behind people" and she walked away. My husband then knocks one of the boxes of popcorn on the floor and the hostess is seen on her cellphone. Turns out she is calling her mother & is informing her that my husband threw popcorn at her. She then relays this message to the managers who get security to come ask my husband to leave. Had it not been for a table of witnesses who saw this entire encounter and spoke to the managers on my husband's behalf, he would've been put out for assault...with popcorn🤦🏾♀️. The hostess was observed on several occasions speaking to her managers (all staff appeared to be very young) in a very disrespectful tone. Her mother arrives and also makes a scene after this situation has been diffused and my party group is preparing to leave. She is observed yelling obscenities and making threats to press charges due to her daughter's false allegations of a popcorn...
Read moreThe low rating is based on management on site of my visit last week. They have zero conflict resolution skills, customer service skills or the ability admit/correct when operating in error in accordance to what's posted.
First the young lady checking my family in had my wife & I confused on what my youngest could ride with an all day pass. She had to repeat herself 3 times still leaving us confused. Never specifying what tracks were available or not available to ride. Upon attempting to get my son on the Jr. race track he was denied because he did not have the proper wrist band to get on. Leaving me even more confused because the children present were similar in height
Thankfully, I found a posted sign at one of the tracks explaining requirements for each track & height measurement to check height. The sign stated "minimum 3yrs old & 36 inch height" with the "maximum height of 48 inches" to ride the Jr. race track. I took his measurements on the posted sign & clearly did not exceed it but was close. The sign also cleared up any confusion on what tracks he could get on since the employee could not articulate without confusing herself.
With this information I took it to the front manager thinking they made a honest mistake & look into verifying measurements. Well that was hopeful thinking. The female manager shut me down after sharing about the sign in the park. She acknowledged she was not aware of the sign or cared to verify it's existence. Basically, going with what the young lady determined at check in without offering to recheck height. Then proceeded to say she was trained that anyone 48 inch & above automatically are not fit to ride Jr race track. I then explained the sign states 48 inch & below meets the requirement. That went no where or offered anything but doubled down on her position with lack of concern in front of her 3 young employees. I'm sure they saw my point & agreed based on body language. I then asked for another manager which she sent me to a manager running a track. I got the same response from him. He was not aware of the sign either & repeated 48 & above is what he was taught. He agreed with the logic of maximum height as the sign stated but refused to correct anything & doubled down whatever they determined upfront was final & no recheck of height or sign verification. He would notify corporate about the sign for removal according to him.
As retired military what is written is doctrine & policy. That's the driving force for most of not all businesses. Not some word of mouth that's just the way we do it. Technically, as we did in the military if you want proper height you do it without shoes. My son wore basketball shoes & still was not over 48 inches. So he would of been closer to 47 or under it.
The management are clearly lacking attributes in training & customer service support. A very poor handling of this matter by 2 managers is very disappointing.
Suggest they post that sign at the ticket stand so people would understand height requirements at each track & determine what tracks they can get on before purchasing tickets. Using painted markings that a 5yr old did on metal posts that are movable & are on unleveled ground definitely not the most professional way then allow a teenage employee make a subjective call. If I had a measuring tape to verify those markings I'm sure there would be some inaccuracies.
Be very aware if you have an issue at this park that the management on ground are not equipped or have the character to make things right.
This use to be our first option GoKarting in town. We are typically there with other families as we were this last time. I'm open to speaking with someone from corporate if they...
Read moreUnderstaffed and over priced. I drove an hour down to Concord only to find that the staff and the equipment needing serious help. The park wasn't too busy, however the woman behind the counter had mentioned it was busier than usual for a week day. I guess Spring Break surprised them.
We (my self and two sons) got our wrist bands and went outside to one of the tracks. We were the second person in line and the park had opened over an hour earlier. We waited for 10 minutes for staff to show up and get the carts ready to race (after someone else sent their son to get them). Once the guy got there he mentioned that the last time the cars had been gassed up was the day before. Their main gas tank hadn't been filled. Nice. I get in the carts with my boys and we're almost ready to race when I see my youngest son standing beside me. "Dad, I can't reach the pedals." I told him to try the cushions that they had. Didn't work either. So, the seats don't adjust. Really. You have to be at least 48" to drive. My son is 52". I had him sit out while I raced. As I was going around the track I noticed two other things that bothered me. First, there were other boys racing that were shorter than my son. How did they do it you ask? By laying down and extending their feet forward. They could barely see around the steering wheel. Not too safe. Second, I saw how they were resolving the gas issue. Someone was walking across the track with what looked to be a large clear tupperware container full of what I can only assume was gas. Shouldn't they have gas cans?
You should also know that the track beside us only had one person operating it too. It was a more complicated track (curves) for the younger/shorter riders. There wasn't anyone out there to help with the crashes (and to keep kids in the carts).
After that one race, we went inside to try the track in there. 8 people in front of us. Each "race" is 5 minutes. They were only running TWO carts at a time! There was no way we were going to waste our day standing/waiting in lines for these awful carts. I went to the front desk with my boys and asked to get a refund, which they did with no problem.
If you like cart racing, find a place with better carts. Sodi (I think) is a much better cart. You may have to wear a helmet and neck brace, and it may be a bit more expensive, but it's...
