Five Guys — Restaurant in Harrison

New: (8.2021) You lose four stars for completely ignoring me.

I came in with my wife and we ordered fries. We order fries with a little salt. There was 5 guys in front and obvious all notice am there, because no one else was there at the time. I just ordered with a smile.

They were joking and chatting, and I thought its nice to relax on the job. My wife and I just stand in front of the take-out counter and in direct view. We waited for the fries, becuase it looks like their cooking a new batch… people come and go... We didn't mind becuase it was fresh fries, we thought.

10 minutes later, one of them looks directly look at me and says, "Oh, you guys ordered fries?" Then goes over to the fry area and dumped fries into a bag and some new fries? We didn't see him do it becuase he was out of view.

I tried to give credit and hope to god he didnt just dump all the old fries in the big. We got home and guess what? It really was all the old over salted soggy fries...

So you mean you completely forgot I was standing there in plain view after my order and still forgot my order? (It was not busy) That is unacceptable, not cool~ Waste of fries and just trashed it.

Old: Nice place, good atmosphere and great service. The place is clean with lots of space, no mess anywhere.

We only got the fries, a bit salty, but it is still good. The hamburgers I didn't try here, but I have ate them at other places, usually always good.

Covid: Enough sanitation stations and space between tables so you don't...

I just want to share how amazing and kind the staff is at this Five Guys location starting with the boss/manager all the way down to the rest of his awesome staff. I travel to and from work everyday taking the PATH and am not always able to afford to purchase food every-time I come in but that does not deter them from showing me kindness. He has allowed me to use the bathroom on a busy day after being a teacher/counselor all day and not having a minute to go. His staff has found a crucial item I left behind for my at home business that if I would’ve lost I may be divorced at this current moment lol. He never hesitates to let me come in when I am waiting for my wife to pick me up and it is pouring outside. Just this morning he helped out by providing me with tissues when my wife was have an allergy fit. I will be forever grateful to this boss and his staff for showing me kindness during these moments of difficulty and stress. I will always spend my money here when my wife and I are craving a burger like we did after a 3 hour drive home from CT and we could’ve gotten something closer to the house. They have earned my business when I can over and over and over again. Sometimes kindness goes along way and for that I am forever grateful to this business and wish them nothing but continued success. Also, I heard they are doing breakfast now and I can’t wait to have a few extra sheckles to head in and try it myself!...

It would appear you are short staffed and should not set an expectation for a time frame you cannot meet. I ordered my food at 8:38PM and arrived to the restaurant shortly thereafter. I did not get my order until 9:17PM. Your app quoted a turn around time of 8 minutes. Please help me to understand how 8 minutes turned into over 40. I had someone waiting to give me a ride who had to park because the time was so long. This is not the way you run a business. There were several people who came in after me and received their food before me. What is the purpose of ordering ahead if I have to wait that long and the order isn’t prioritized. Either change the timeframe quoted so the customer can make an informed decision or don’t offer the pickup service. I spent almost 40 dollars at your establishment but after the long wait and frustration, I have lost my appetite and will not be returning. It is the way your business is being run and it is not being run efficiently. Hire enough employees to handle your business correctly. 40 minutes is just truly...
