My husband, in laws, son, and I visited today 12/17 at 12:15 for brunch before a funeral we were going to attend. We made the reservation ahead of time, requesting a non-high top seating arrangement as my son is 1 and would need to have a booster. When we arrived, only a high-top table was available, and rather than wait for a regular table to open up, we accepted due to time constraints. We then waited for twenty minutes without seeing a server after being seated. The hostess did offer us a booster seat for our son after about 10 minutes, which was kind. My husband told the hostess that we had not been seen for drinks or anything yet, and the hostess said ok, and went to fetch one. Apparently, communications had been crossed and no waitress had been assigned our table. They apologized, and the waitress took our order (we put in food and drink at the same time to cut down on wait time). My brother in law received a water with lemon when he ordered a sweet tea with lemon, and the waitress promptly brought out the correct drink. Now onto the food. My brother in law ordered the crab dip - which lacked depth of flavor, but the focaccia bread sticks were good. My father in law ordered the Clementine Burger -well- and received it cooked medium rare at best. My husband ordered the crab cake Benedict which lacked a textural element, and flavor-wise was one-noted - that being salty. I ordered the breakfast bruschetta in which the tomatoes were watery and flavorless, there was no balsamic vinegar, and my two poached eggs were wildly different (one was practically hard-boiled, the other barely cooked). The drinks were waived from the bill due to our waiting for so long (without our request, this was entirely the waitress’ doing). The waitress was kind and attentive. Most likely will not be returning to this...
Read moreWhile getting the bill at Clementine Cafe we decided to pay with both cash and card. We then found out our server changed the card twice resulting in being charged $500 on a less than $250 bill. The full price of the bill and then the bill minus what was payed in cash. After reaching out to the store I was not given the opportunity to speak with a manager even though after asking if they were Available they said yes until asked what it was concerning. I was told to wait until the accountant got in to handle this matter even though no further information other than a name was given. It seemed like they had no understanding of how reimbursements work as a manager which is a bit problematic when these things happen. I will update if I get to speak with the “accountant “ tomorrow on what happened /get my reimbursement. Food was decent but please be weary and check bank statements before leaving the establishment/ mistakes happen but how you make them up is...
Read moreI've been listening to my celiac son throw up for over an hour thanks to Victoria knowingly allowing him to eat a regular wheat bun. He ordered a gluten free roll on his burger and when our food arrived, it looked suspiciously like my own regular wheat roll. I asked Victoria about it to be sure it was gluten free and she said that she had written it to the kitchen as gluten free. But it wasn't. It was never turned in on the kitchen ticket as needing to be gluten free. And she was too lazy to stop him from eating it and having a new one made properly. What a shame since Clemintine has great possibilities.... their interior and patio areas are so cute. Their food is really good. But you can't be great when you have people like Victoria that really don't care about their customers. All she cared about today were her fake...
