Lineage — Local services in Harrisonburg

Lineage has been a staple in the Shops at Agora from the beginning, and while I miss walking in to see Paul hard at work behind the counter, this is still somewhere I frequent. All of the products they carry are top quality, but especially their own products.

I have several (some may say too many, but I would disagree) bags from them. The Appalachian Backpack is my everyday bag, whether I am going into the office or taking some books out to read at a coffee shop. The smaller bags are handy for all sorts of things, with the "makeup" case holding my chargers, cords, and writing implements. I have one of their billfolds in my back pocket right now, my keys are on one of their keyrings, and I have a Field Notes notebook tucked into a Wayfarer Wallet. I am a bit of a fan. I won't even get into the apothecary/home goods section of things, of which I also go to with frequency and their apparel (especially those designed by Wild Wander and Jeff Guinn).

In addition to the quality goods, their staff are fantastic. I often wander the downtown area and frequently stop by to run my mouth. I know full well that they likely tire of me far sooner than they let on, but they never show it. They are friendly and helpful and I always look forward to seeing who is behind the counter.

Lineage has a little something for everyone! This shop is so well curated with items from many small businesses, lots of them local! This is my go to shop for gifts, you're bound to find a gift for everyone in your life. My most favorite socks in the world came from Lineage, yay Green Cove Collective!
