Worst dining experience ever! Filthiest restaurant I have ever been to in my life! The carpet was very heavily stained and soiled with grease and remnants of previous food spills throughout, as well as being littered with various paper products, such as papers that straws are encased in and shreddings from napkins, etc. Also, the carpet itself looked to be very old. I am guessing the carpet must be the same carpet that was originally put down whenever the restaurant first opened. It not, I am guessing it is at least thirty years old, as it was very thinned out and tattered to the point that you could almost see the flooring underneath in some areas. This alone should have been our cue to leave and not sit down (for the physical condition of this place was indeed an excellent indicator of the food quality and the service we could expect), but alas, we didn’t. We sat down to eat and I blame myself for this. I should have known better. I won’t bore you with the details of all the things wrong with the service and the poor food quality, but suffice it to say it was terrible. Every member in our party had one or more issues with the food quality and the service. Needless to say, don’t eat at this IHOP. I don’t know if I will ever eat at an IHOP ever again in my life (probably not), but rest assured - I will never eat at this IHOP ever again. And if you are smart, you will avoid this place too - like the plague. I would not be surprised at all if they have serious issues with cockroaches and mice. Disgusting! ...
Read moreWhile the changes in how some things are done like cashing out and how the syrup comes to the table, even on a slam busy day our service was great! Our server was wonderful! She was friendly, and knew the menu well and easily offered a combination of items to help my husband get the breakfast he had in mind. Even as busy as she was, she didn't get flustered or cut out the little things that make good service like topping off the coffee, seeing that there was a resupply at our table of the additives for our coffee needed or offering water, asking initially if we wanted different size OJ. There are so few places that have 2 sizes anymore that it's easy to assume and give the large size rather than bother to take the extra step of asking. The food was perfectly cooked! The hash browns were crisp on the outside, not soft, but cooked and tasty inside. The omelette was just as my husband had asked! Again, this was a slam busy Sunday, maybe not the crush they're having later in the morning but still, the food and service was nearly as good as if we were all scheduled to be there and the menu items had been prepared for that. As always, Yes, definably recommend going to this IHOP! The only hold back is that when it's full like that, things like bathroom access suffer some. Still available, just takes a slight bit of watching ones step or hoping that all those that use it are respectful of those still...
Read moreSaturday evening in town for Tournament and Hostess/Cashier was not very welcoming or pleasant. She seemed to be inconvenienced more than open to business. A regular patron entered and she took much time to chat and catch up with them and had those waiting to cash out and be seated wait. Once she seated she sat in an area where the Server was due to clock out for their shift and she was not pleasant or professional when speaking to them. Additional training or placement elsewhere, not the front desk, is in order. Thankfully, though the Server was truly the one that was inconvenienced, the Server was pleasant, accommodating, professional, friendly, and upbeat in the midst of being short staffed. The Server, the true professional, never once made us feel like we were a bother and often checked in on us. It was observed, she checked in often with all those she was serving and insured everyone was well taken care of despite the busy evening a slow service (the kitchen moved quickly, too) Regretfully, misplaced receipt with the Server's name as she needs a shout out and kudos for how she represented herself and the company. She deserves the accolades. Saturday, March 2, 2019 between 7:30...
