Pueblo Magico Mexican Restaurant is a cute restaurant that you wouldn't expect when you look at it from the outside.
Vibe: The restaurant had a nice vibe to it. They took a typical strip mall location and tried to give it a relaxing and cool vibe. They certainly changed the space, but I still felt like cavernous.
Service: Service was very good. Attentive and friendly. Our server was a bit busy as there was a large party as it was Father's Day.
Food: I had the SMOKY PEAR: Mezcal, prickly pear purée, fresh lime, fresh orange and agave. It was a delicious cocktail and I would definitely order it again. The chips and salsa were just ok, nothing memorable here. For my entree I had the SHRIMP FAJITA BURRITO: Tortilla filled with shrimp and fajita veggies covered in cheese dip. Served with rice. This was the most disappointing thing about the meal. The shrimp were cooked well, but lack a little seasoning. The veggies (onions and bell peppers) were definitely not cooked enough and the onion over-powered the whole dish. As for being a burrito, it was more like a tortilla blanket over the shrimp and veggies. I also would have used a different sauce, but heard that cheese sauce on burritos was a thing in that part of the country. The rice, well, don't get me started here. I personally feel if you are going to put something on a plate, make it special. I'll leave it at that.
Would I go back if I were in the area? Probably not, unless it was just...
Read moreportions are perfecto and this place has the best black beans...Also you can get traditional or the cocholate nutty mole...some restaurants only do one type...so that is great. Steak is also good as in not super fatty...well mine wasn't some Mexican restaurants go cheap and do ribeye crap but you get the fat and its just disgusting but my steak in the fajita burito was good stuff...I get aprehensive when ordering steak in buritos because you don't know if you are getting cheapo crap or not especially if the burito price for the steak and chicken are same but these guys did me right. Oh and if you like coke zero over diet coke ask for coke zero because ifnyou ask for diet soda...its like default diet coke and coke zero is so much better. Waitress offered me drink to go which was nice. But yeah I know this sounds silly but if you get a meal that comes with refried beans, trust me on this, try the black beans as a substitute, you won't be disappointed...not saying the refried beans are bad, my wife liked those but these were the best black beans ever and I've eaten at a lot of Nexican restaurants so that should be saying something...cozy environment...not too big not too small but quality food without too hole in wall feeling...happy music...fair prices...make this your next Mexican outing in...
Read moreI had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant and wanted to share my thoughts.
The first thing that struck me was the cleanliness of the place, which immediately set a positive tone. What I truly appreciated was the restaurant's commitment to maintaining a vibrant Hispanic atmosphere. The soft music allowed for comfortable conversation, and the bilingual staff, exemplified by our wonderful server Kayla, made everyone feel at ease, even those in my group who didn't speak Spanish. Kayla went the extra mile by patiently helping them pronounce the dish names.
Now, let's talk about the food – they have a signature specialty that's an absolute must-try. The flavors were simply outstanding, not overly salty, and the presentation was pristine. What impressed me even more was the generous portion size for the quality, and the pricing was very reasonable. I can't forget to mention the delicious lemonades, although it's worth noting they don't offer refills for the lemonades, which is understandable.
In summary, this restaurant offers not only delectable cuisine but also impeccable service. It has become my favorite spot in town, and I'm willing to travel a considerable distance – up to 40 miles – just to savor their exceptional offerings.
Ask for their...
