This place is an outstanding hidden gem of a Mexican restaurant. It's small, and the building could be a touch off puting to some less adventurous eaters, but that just adds to its feel.

It was like eating a meal at a little cantina in small town rural Mexico.

The portion sizes are ample and the prices very fair. But the real standout is the food itself, as it should be.

The menu is a mix of standard fair that Americans would recognize and the more authentic and exciting stuff, but everything is handled with care and isn't toned down or altered to suit squeamish diners.

La Casita del sabor is dishing up authentic Mexican street favorites right alongside traditional entrees and they're here for the crowd that knows how to appreciate the real deal family recipe Mexican cuisine.

Nice place. The food on the menu looks good. I only had a few minutes- being that I was with my son. We went for a quick bite while my mom was at the hospital. Previously I went to a Jamaican restaurant, but like I said I was with a 6 yr old. Anywho- So the spicy beef tacos were amazing. Loved the fact that the beef was tender and in chunks/cubes. Seasoning was in point. The regular beef taco was shredded and charred. He said it was good and he did eat them.👍 The guy who took my order was friendly and multi tasked easily. 👏👏 It was 17 bucks and some change. A lil more than Waterbury, but I do understand prices change from one area to the next. All and all 2.75 for a taco is great. Only reason I didn’t give them a 5 is the difference in the meat for the tacos. Make sure you get the red and green sauce. Haha no I don’t know the names. I just ask for the red and green sauce. Walking is we noticed the place was really small.

Getting there by 5:15 and ordering 10 minutes later I couldn't help but noticed the place was really hot. They only had 1 AC. The bathroom is really tiny and they only have one - keep that in mind when coming here. It took over an hour for us to get our foods.
