I called in an order of pizza and the brownie dessert today to be delivered to my grandmother, who lives in Hartsville, for her birthday since I recently moved out of state and was unable to be there to celebrate in person for the first time in my 31 years of life.
I told the Papa John's associate who answered the phone about the birthday and asked that they please write a simple "Happy Birthday" message inside the box with mine and my two daughters' names so that my Oma would know where this delivery came from. I didn't want to ask for anything detailed and be a burden on the employees there in the event they were exceptionally busy or simply didn't care to add "artistry" to their job descriptions.
My uncle, who lives with my grandparents to care for them as they are in their late 80s and need assistance, sent me the best photos and let me know that the surprise had arrived.
Seeing the pics of what was delivered, these employees went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make this special. They drew balloons and used several colors and even added, "We miss you and love you" to the message of their own accord. The delivery driver even wished my Oma a happy birthday!! I hope all of you that were involved know how thankful I am that you went out of your way to do this. Thank you so, so much, Papa John's, for being so caring and kind and helping to make my Omas day!!! It means the world to me and it did to her as well. You will definitely be my go-to pizza spot when I come home to visit...
Read moreOrdered 2 pizzas and a papa bowl garden veggie, cheese sticks and Buffalo wigns. $89.00. At around 8:20pm. Gets there here within 15 mins. The cheese sticks were soo greasy you couldn't eat them. They had are crust wrong. No extra cheese on my Philly cheese steak and maybe had one little slice of steak over the whole thing. And had sausage on it which i didn't order. And the papa bowl was just green peppers and black slices with marinara sauce. Looked like a grease bowl instead. And the cheese pizza was under cooked. I called to talk to the manager at the papa johns in hartsville south carolina, Boy!🤬if I cloud've reached through the phone! She was rude as hell. Start telling her what's wrong with my order and she kept deny every thing I said and said that she personally made the veggie bowl and started naming each topping she said she put in it. I said no, it was just black olives and green peppers in marinara grease. I will never order from there again made my mama sick and wasted our damn money. We order out maybe 4 times a year. We poor people and food prices are outrageous. So, when I order stuff with my money and I have a copy of what I order. I WANT WHAT A PAY FOR...
Read moreWe have been trying to give this place a decent shot. They are constantly forgetting or dropping items that we ordered. We have gone back to the store more than two times. We should know better to check the box before we leave the store, so shame on us for that. The last time we ordered, the left off our order of garlic cups. We had already made it back to the house, so the manager on duty offered us a free pizza next time we ordered. Fast forward to today. We were expecting a free pizza, only to find out that there are not any notes in the office for customers. So if you are supposed to have one there, forget it. The general manager Aisha or Ieesha offered to make sure my garlic ups were with the order this time. She didn't even offer to comp them. They don't take responsibility for their mistakes. Apparently they don't care about customers. This is not how you handle business. It's unfortunate because Papa Johns had a special place with our family, but Hartsville, you ruined it. We...
