Employees just told my husband that there would not be any glazed donuts available until 4:30pm. He was told "the sign is set to come on at 4:30, so we're not firing anything up until 4:15." This was at 4:00pm today, on a Saturday. We were told we could just come back in 30 minutes. We brought our daughter to the zoo and then wanted to get doughnuts before going home (60 miles away). Our one outing while she is on Spring Break and both places were disappointments. ๐
Is this how business is done in Hattiesburg?
4/5/21: Edited to add, in response to owner: I understand rushes, promotions, and running out of items. I do not understand running out of items that are manufactured by machine, in-house. I do not understand the poor planning for "promotional" days at this location. Perhaps employees should be directed to "make donuts as necessary" instead of being allowed to wait on the "hot sign" schedule. Perhaps some customers that arrive are not aware of Krispy Kreme promotional days, or are not interested in whatever sale is taking place. Perhaps some of your customers just want FRIENDLY service and a dozen glazed doughnuts. ๐ค Instead, we were rudely and very directly told to "come back in 30 minutes" and start our wait all over again. Are you, as the owner, really ok with your employees turning customers away???
Perhaps you should train them to tell your customers that more doughnuts are being prepared and have them kindly ask your customers to wait for a few minutes (WHILE DOUGHNUTS ARE PREPARED) for the freshest of doughnuts! I have never been consistently insulted at a restaurant before. It is not a customer's fault, nor should a CUSTOMER have to explain to an employee how to use the company's application. Every time we go up there, someone has an attitude and there is ALWAYS an issue with their app. It's better to just spend a few extra minutes and drive to Shipley's across town. Better yet, make a trip to the coast and visit Dunkin Donuts. I try to treat everyone I come into contact with, with respect and courtesy so I expect the same, especially when I pay for a service. ย ย ย Read morePicked up a box of glazed donuts at the drive thru to carry to the hospital to thank the caregiver only to find out this morning from the hospital staff the doughnuts were horrible, some burnt, various shades of color, small. Some extra ones were smashed in the box in an attempt to compensate for the size. The attendant did inform me that a few extra was placed in the box because of the batch size being small. I was sorry I had delivered such a product as a thank you as I did not open the box before I gave them to the caregivers. When speaking to the store this morning I was told no adjustment would be given..you get what you get. Also told I could call corporate but when I requested their number was told they didn't have a number!! This is the kind of customer service that we are receiving these days for our hard earned dollars. It seems they are only concerned about TIPS, not customer satisfaction. I will not be going to Krispy Cream again. Please check your box before leaving the window no matter how many cars are in line behind you because you never know what trash is in the closed box.
