Dina's Sandwitch — Restaurant in Hawaii

On 07/21/22, I ordered a sandwich and the nachos. The food was mediocre and over priced but the service was good. The nachos were underwhelming but it was nice that they packaged all the condiments on the side. That allowed my picky 10 year old to eat them.

On 07/22/22, we were sitting by the pool and my son asked for the Nachos. I ordered the Nachos but this time they came with all the condiments on them. I asked the server if I could order another order but have everything on the side. She stated they can't put everything on the side because that is not how they do it. I advised her that is how it was prepared yesterday and I would be okay with placing another order. She advised me that she cannot prepare them like that and I was wrong because that is how they were served. She then asked the manager (elderly lady) if that was true and the manager stated no. The waitress was very rude and implied that I was lying to her.

Please do not waste your time. Even if you are staying at Sugar resort, the mediocre food and inconsistent service is...

Disappointed in the service and food my second time around. I’ve given two stars because the first time I ate here it was a tad better. Food is underwhelming (not expecting a 5 star meal) and the service can use an up grade. The first day I went the lady was at least nice and tried to be pleasant. My second time going was a new bartender and she acted as if I did something wrong by coming in. My drink had a bug in it and when I quietly told the bartender/waitress she smacked her teeth, blew loudly and grabbed the drink and walked off. I never noticed her get rid of it. She then returns after servicing another table with a “new” drink but the drink still had a bug in it. After I noticed it I kindly asked for the check and asked if she made a new drink of course she replied “yes.” I didn’t finish my food. I had to ask her if I did something to upset her to which she replied “no, just busy and I’m sorry you felt that way” she was very nice to the locals/regular patrons.
