went there for the first time a few nights ago. there were only 3 other small parties that were seated at tables so it wasn't busy at all. as soon as we walk in the waitress looks at us while she is taking an order with the table right on the side of the front door. then proceeds to ignore us even after she was done taking their order and walked away. other workers on the floor walked past us. there was no "seat yourself" sign so we stood there for a good 2-3 minutes waiting. we finally got someone's attention, she sat us down and seemed irritated that we bugged her. when we asked her to read the specials again politely, she sighed. we only asked again because there was no specials board, the board said ask us about our specials. as for the food, it's alright but not for the price. our bill was $55 with only 2 bowls and 2 sushi rolls that could've been one order. we left there not feeling full. could've had a little more flavor but their choice of dishes are what hilo needs. it's not the traditional saimin or only sushi served. i really want to like this place. we will try again soon hopefully with a better experience. parking: very limited, will have to probably park along the street. had to drive around for 5 mins looking for an open spot. seating: limited due to small restaurant area, not their fault cant help it. not wheel chair or kid friendly...
Read moreFood is pretty good. They are known for soupless noodles so if you are looking for a bowl of ramen swimming, better look for another eatery.
Tan Tan Noodles and Char Siu Noodles are so good. Noodles are cooked just right and broth is rich in flavor.
Smashed Q is a god appetizer which is only $5 and pretty tasty.
Mixed Salad is the best! It’s bowl is prepared well and you’ll surely love the colorful seasoned mix of salad in your bowl. The Japanese dressing is the best!
Yakitori Bites is the best I ever had! Texture is superb and super tasty. The $8 price ain’t bad as they pretty gave a generous portion. You gotta order this!
Customer Service is good and the chef’s are the most friendliest. Too bad they weren’t wearing their mask properly while preparing the food. But still I highly recommended you to try their scrumptious menu!
Happy juandering...
