Visited this cute little Thai spot in Hilo, Hawaii about a week ago.
Food: I eat a lot of Thai food, and I will say right away that the flavor of the food here is unique.
For our appetizer, we got the Thai Spring Rolls. They were very fresh and it is a decently large portion size. I ordered the Pad See Ui and it was nothing like any other Pad See Ui I've ever had, but it was delicious! The dish also tasted very clean- not super oily. My boyfriend got the Pad Thai and cleaned his plate. I'm not usually a Pad Thai fan, but I even had a bite and enjoyed it :). Portion sizes for entrées are generous.
I also ordered a Thai Tea and it was perfect. My boyfriend got the Thai Coffee and it was strong and yummy!
Service: Our server was very sweet. I think that it was hard for her to understand us at times, but regardless, we had a great experience.
Atmosphere: Very cute, cozy, comfortable interior. Seems to be a locally known place. We saw people coming in and chatting with one of the employees so it seems that they knew each other. I really enjoyed dining here.
TLDR: Cute place, good food, and good service! Would love to come back here next time...

My husband and I are always trying out new places to eat. This place is not so big so sometimes seating can get "non-existent". Don't be deterred though because not ONLY is the hostess/waitress REALLY nice...the food AND drinks that we ordered was SUPER flavorful and fresh😋 What's even more great is that you can order which "heat" you want🤙 My husband had the Spicy Basil stir fry w/beef and Brown rice and I had the Pumpkin Curry w/beef and Jasmine rice and to drink, we BOTH had Thai Iced coffee 💜 I FULLY recommend that if you're in the mood for Thai food and/or you want to try somewhere NEW...THIS is DEFINITELY a place to try! Arrived at 5 pm. Restaurant relatively empty. Seated promptly. Hostess/waitress tossed some menus on the table. No warm welcome whatsoever.
5 minutes later waters were brought to the table. 5 more minutes later our order was taken. Two chicken fried rices ($12 each), one green curry ($12), one spicy basil pork ($12), and one Tom Yum soup ($12). 35 minutes later the first entree arrived. About 7 minutes later the fried rices arrived. Then the soup another 5 minutes later and finally the spicy basil pork.
My spicy basil pork was disappointing and underwhelming. In fact, the dish looked as though the kitchen threw a bunch of veggies together and passed it off as good enough to serve. Nope. I've had plenty of Thai food and this version was a miss.
Frustrating is the nice way to put it. From the looks of other patrons' expressions, many others seemed to be sharing the same angst too.
Do yourself and your family a favor and pass on this place. I wish...
