I arrived at high noon, two hours into their five hour daily operatIon only to find only two of their five Poke dishes left to order from. The man I talked to behind the counter was kind enough to tell me that they wouldn’t be making any more poke for the day.
I understand that this establishment is reliant on whatever the local fishermen have to offer on a daily basis, but if the first word of your name is poke, I’d make sure I had at least a backup plan for time my main ingredient might be in short supply. Of course Pineaaples one block down the street had no problem serving up fresh dish of ahi, so maybe it’s more of a purchasing problem than a supply issue. But what do I know. I’m just another howlee from Alaska who knows nothing about fresh fish.

The sides were pretty good, but a little salty. The rice was perfect, and there were plenty of shady places for us to sit and eat. However, the meat was all salty and we couldn’t even taste the real taste of the food! The meat was not fresh and it had way too much sauce and ingredients to it.
