Queen Street Cafe & Grill — Restaurant in Oʻahu

While the venue is very good and the ambience is pleasant I was less pleased by the service. I was with a party of five and we waited about an hour and fifteen minutes for our food order. When the food came, two of our party's meals were cold and the server informed us that we would have to wait a long time to replace the items. I ordered a burger and wanted to add some cheese and avocado. I asked the server how much it would be and they vaguely responded "not very much more"; imagine my surprise when the bill came and they had charged me three quarters of the value of the meal over again for the small addition. What was perhaps most disappointing was that when we asked to speak to the manager, we were told that there was no one on duty and all we could do was write a review. I have worked onboard Cruise Ships for many years and I can only imagine the kind of response such poor service would generate. I cannot recommend this...

Very disappointed in my experience here. Great reviews made this place a good option to try. When I arrived, they had a sign stating masks are still required. While I understand the business can choose its rules and operating procedures, I have not worn a mask besides the doctors office in about a year and did not have one with me. They have a table 4 feet inside the door and the ordering process should take less than 2 minutes. The risk of airborne transmission of germs in this time is unlikely. On top of my inability to order food without a mask, there was a sign stating there is a 45 minute wait. Unfortunately I did not have time to find a mask, wait 45 minutes for my order and make it back to work on time. This is just before 12PM with only one person waiting outside.

I hope one day I have a mask and time to wait to actually try the food.

Wow, the amount of food for the price is way above expectations. After looking at reviews we decided to place a order by phone. At luch it took exactly 25 minutes as the very nice employee advised over the phone. When you arrive only one person enters at a time and employees were wearing masks. Was given a friendly greeting when arriving. The place is very basic inside, no frills. The food they gave me was very heavy, we were expecting small bento boxes for the price. Everything came to $51 for three complete meals including steak, ahi, shrimp and chicken katsu. The steak was really good, husband liked the tempura shrimp. Teenager got the largest combination plate and has barely spoken a word to us while eating. 100% worth the trip to visit what seems like a locally owned...
