Located in Kona intl market Conveniently located with their Filipino market next door The Korean chicharon plate was very tasty and the Mac salad was an extra $1 or else it's two scoops of white rice The chicharon itself was an ok amount maybe max 8-9 pieces. We tried the Chicharon Lomi Lomi which was fantastic. Definitely unique to Hawaii. The tomatoes and onions really added another dimension to the usually delicious chicharon pork belly. The staff was very courteous and kind too. Would definitely come back! Highly recommended.

Family run overseen by the family Matriarch who started the place. Delicious food and attached to a market with groceries and dry goods. A must visit for us whenever we come to the Big Island.

This is the only Filipino Restaurant in Big Island! I've been here few times. The first time I came here to eat, Mel recognized me (maybe from Facebook as I also have done some modeling in the past).

I came back here in Kona for business and went there to eat again on my first day. I believe it was Mel's mom who served me. She was super nice! As I ordered my 3 choice plate, she came to my table and told me to try her lechon kawali. I didn't finish my food and I told her if I can order more rice to go and she didn't want to charge me for it. I told her I don't mind paying as I know she is running a business. She wouldn't take it so I put almost a total of $10 tip to her tip jar.

I came back two days later and ordered more food to go. It was Mel and I'm guessing it was his brother who was there to served me. As usual, I gave them almost a $10 tip as well.

The only suggestion I have is since I'm a lil health freak is they should...

Absolutely the best food we have had in Hawaii. So yummy at a very low price. 8 dollars for two dishes with rice.

Very friendly people. We really loved the home style cooking. My picky parents who are visiting from China gave this place a two thumbs up. They kept talking about the food for a few hours.

The cook is the shop owner's mom. She came from the Philippines. Super friendly. Her food tastes like grandmother's cooking.

Our Ilocano “manong” cab driver told us about this restaurant when I mentioned that my mother was Ilocana. I shared that I missed bagnet - comfort food from my childhood whenever I visited my mom’s home town. My wife and I rented a car and drove out the next day in search of Trini’s. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was inside the Kona International Market Food Court. We each ordered the chicharon (bagnet) plate prepared Filipino Lomi Lomi style. It was delicious.
