Saw this on Google Maps when looking around this area. It had good reviews on here and Yelp. There were lots of people on line.
You tell them what you want starting on the right side of the counter and they start making it fresh. If you wanted a soft taco or burrito they would put a wrap in the steamer to warm it up 😊
I got 2 Fish Tacos (1 hard, 1 soft) and a Longboard Burrito with Big Island Kalua Pig and paid less than $20. They were delicious! My MIL commented fish was fried fish but still good. The burrito with the Kalua Pig was so tender and juicy... sooo good. (The burrito is bigger than it looks in my photo. I already ate most of it before realizing I didn't photograph it.) They offered different options for the wrap, you can choose from Flour, Spinach, or Whole Wheat tortilla for your Burrito.👍
One of the frequent customers on line complained that they aren't open everyday and the owner lady said she needs a rest day too 😂 How I found out they were closed on Sundays!
They had cool Killer Tacos stickers for sale but sadly those were Sold Out when I went. They were also selling different size water thermos with the largest one holding 40 ounces.

Read moreI wanted a little bit while I was in Kona waiting for my partner fly in. I was really early so I happened upon this place. Parking is limited but I found a spot on the far end of the lot. The interior is very unassuming and sparse. Honestly, it doesn’t matter one way or the other I just wanted to put that out there. I ordered the spicy ground beef soft taco. I added a cheese to it as well. Nothing spicy about the ground beef. I think all the exit reviews about the food here come from people used to Del taco and Taco Bell. Don’t get me wrong for that however, if you’re looking for an authentic Mexican taco skip this place if you’re hungry for some slightly below average Mexican food, You’ll be fine here. I thought four dollars is a little expensive where the taco go what you get, but isn’t outrageous. The Good: Good for a quick bite. Nothing else to write home about. The Bad: parking can be challenging. No atmosphere. Chances I’ll be back: probably not. Not for any particular reason other there are much better places out there even on...

Sandwiched between a laundromat and a transmission shop, you will find a bite of good food and excellent value. One of our favorite places to stop when needing to refuel in Kona. Since it is just behind the shopping area with Target, HPM, and Petco, Killer Tacos is quite convenient.
Basic taco bar layout. If you choose the short or long board burrito, you can have it filled to specification from the bins on the counter... Pork, beef, or chicken, re-fried or black beans, hot salsa or mild.
The burritos are not really burritos, putting 'ito on the end of a word means small in Spanish. These are really burros, large enough to satisfy a big guy like me.
Better yet, the prices are great for those large portions. This is a locals shop, not priced to gouge tourists.
There are also a good selection of taco plates, fish tacos, and more on the menu. Not that I can comment on those, I always get a long...
