The Baseline: For a Mexican fast casual restaurant the flavors of the food must make use of the prime Mexican ingredients (corn, beans, chiles, rice, cheese, and meats), preparation of sauces/salsas must be fresh, the meal portion size must make me feel full, and service must be efficient.
Food: I came in to get a carnitas burrito as a take out experience. The burrito was filled with succulent pork that had a good amount of crisp and tender pull apart meat that had tangy pickled onions mixed in next to the rice and beans. Well wrapped in a warm flour tortilla.
Service: Great fast and efficient service. I had my order in less than 10 minutes and the waitress was super friendly.
Atmosphere: The table and seating was well arranged, decorated, and the tables were clean. I could come here for a quick sit down experience when I am not rushing and grabbing take out. Also they have mole which I want so a sit down experience is in my...
Read moreIleana, the lady in the front taking orders, was super nice! I got two shrimp tacos to-go ($6/ea) and they were really good. A little on the pricier side for shrimp tacos, but they were really filling and the size was imo worth the money. They don't skimp on the protein either. Their breakfast and breakfast specials are very affordable (as they can be in 2025, they still need to make a profit of course).
I cannot wait to come back and try more of their menu, especially their breakfast since that's my favorite meal of the day 😁
Also, they can substitute and make changes to some of their items (within reason). For example, they can make you a veggie taco with bell peppers, cactus slices, and spinach. Or no ham on their breakfast torta to make it vegetarian friendly.
