This place could be a gem. We’ve been here several times in the last year and every visit gets a bit more disappointing. The food is outstanding! The atmosphere is set up to be outstanding…but the lack of attention to details takes away from its luster. Our last visit was July 21, 2025. We arrived at 11:45am. My wife, son, and I placed our order, made our drinks and went to set at one of the high top tables. We struggled to find one that was cleaned off. We found the cleanest one, finished wiping it off ourselves, and noticed that the table was ridiculously wobbly. Someone had attempted to level it with some sort of folded paper under one of the feet….but it was rediuclous enough that I worried my 5 year old would definitely spill his bottled Jarrito….so we opted for a short table (those are bolted down for a secure base). Again….we struggled to find a clean table. We finished cleaning one off ourselves and waited for our food. While we waited, looking around, it wasn’t hard to see that the facility wasn’t very clean. Dirty tables. Crumbs all over floors and seats. Fuzzys has a pair of garage doors that are opened during favorable weather. It brings in some ‘outside’ feel and could make for a nice atmosphere. But there was a line of bath towels laying along the door seal…likely to keep out rain water??? Anyhow, the owner casually walked over thru the lunch crowd and picked up the towels to carry them back to the kitchen. Why wasn’t this done prior to opening? Why weren’t the tables, floors, and bathrooms cleaned spotless before opening?? After we enjoyed our tacos, I took my son to the bathroom. Toilets not flushed, zero paper towels in dispenser. Liquid Soap all over the counter top. Wife went to the women’s restroom. Said the soap on the counter was the same in her bathroom. And instead of paper towels being located in the dispenser, they were just stacked loosely on the sink. Gross. Is this also what the kitchen looks like? Are these same lazy attempts at details carried out in the kitchen’s cleanliness?? Great food can’t be enjoyed in a filthy atmosphere. Teach the staff to clean. If tables wobble, fix them. If doors leak, fix them. Anything less is lazy.

Fuzzy's was just ok for me. It was our first time at a Fuzzy's and I will never go back. We stopped by as we were traveling through Hays on our summer vacation. The hostess/cashier at the front of the store knew very little about their menu items and was very irritated at any questions we asked with regards to the menu and especially with regards to ingredients in the food items that two of our children cannot eat. We have a couple people in our family with a food allergy and eating any dairy products will make them very sick so we were asking about ingredients in specific food items. She said she didn't know, and that there was no one there that would know what was in their food. She said the only people who would know was their food prep guys and that they work mornings so no one could help us. She was also very short with us as we ordered. I felt like she thought we were taking too much time and asking too many questions even though no one was behind us. We ordered the items we wanted and requested two without cheese. When we went to sit down all the tables in the restaurant were dirty. I couldn't find anyone to ask about getting them cleaned off so I spotted some glass cleaner sitting out on the bar and decided to wash them myself. I have to say, it was pretty handy that they had big rolls of paper towels sitting out. if you need to clean your own table you have the supplies you need, so I guess that was a plus. Finally, when our meals came out and we picked them up, they all came out with with cheese. Normally that's not a big deal. Most items can be remade and we weren't angry, I just explained to another employee about the dairy allergy and asked if we could get a replacement. Mistakes happen, but what happened next was ridiculous. I overheard the kitchen staff arguing about remaking the plate that was made incorrectly. They seemed incredibly upset about having to remake the tacos and didn't leave a very good impression about Fuzzy's and the staff and management of this restaurant. Overall, the food was just middle of the line tacos. Nothing too amazing. Nothing too horrible. It was just there. Tacos for Life is a similar type of taco shop and 1000 times better.

This place should be my favorite? Fuzzys offers reward points, a variety of tacos and Mexican dishes I can't find just anywhere (like juevos rancheros). The dining atmosphere includes all the TV's you could ask for. The portion sizes are good. I think it's lacking consistency. The service changes over time. This last visit, you ordered and no one checks on you and you clean up your own table. No big deal but it was different last time we were there. Looked like they may be short on help. As for the food, it should be incredible. They offer many different types of proteins and it looked fantastic. My son said he had the best quesadilla he's ever tasted. However, the black beans were salted so much that they were unbearable. And I like salt. Just a few beans mixed into the fajita was too much. The fried potatoes looked awesome. However, they were too salty too. It's really a bummer because the shrimp and beef fajitas tasted amazing. They offer alcoholic drinks and breakfast options all day. The prices can get up there but aren't too bad. For that price though, the consistency should be better. I'll be sad if this restaurant doesn't survive because of their many options and atmosphere. However, there are more consistent, quality options for Mexican food in town.

Crappy NOT tempra shrimp tacos the cashier said they can't do cruncy tempra shrimp taco cause the tempra shrimp didn't fit but I got someone in the back to make me a couple which turned out to be 3 tiny little regular salad shrimps per taco a crap load of lettus. The steak burrito was supposed to have refried beans but they put hard black beans inside instead. My friend who I recommend this place too ordered fish tacos with cod she got what got instead 2 crappy NOT tempra shrimp tacos with tiny 3 pieces of little salad shrimp too and all lettus. We ordered sides of refried beans that turned out to be very old, hard, crusty and not even fresh. We ate as much as we could but all got sick to our stomachs from the old refried beans. We dumped salsa in them hoping to make the beans not so hard and nasty tasting but they were just plain old like days old and days cold. The meal Costed my friend over $50 for all garbage. We could have went to taco bell and paid half the price and would have been happier with that instead. Your workers are too young and lazy the environment use to be happy a cheerful but your workers were not very helpful or happy. They expect a tip for what? Being a cashier taking your order and telling me what I can and cannot have.and then we have to.go pick.our own food up. They don't deserve tips for doing nothing but what they get paid for as their position. They are not serving us. Then we decided screw this let's get a couple strawberry mango swirl margaritas cause usually I get them and they always had alit of alcohol in them you could taste and catch a buzz from but not yesterday we got charged another $18 for the drinks that tasted like slurpees instead no alcohol taste we didn't even catch a buzz just got so angry we didn't get what we expected. I will no longer recommend Fuzzy Tacos anymore to anyone. Will not ever be coming back to fuzzy tacos as we got sick and mad at the cost for nothing we actually ordered. Stop hiring young lazy kids who are rude. Bring back workers who made this place enjoyable cause this restaurant is gonna go down as another crappy restaurant in...
