So disappointed! Had early dinner today with family. Food was just ok nothing superb. Worst galbi tang I have tasted compared to others. One order of kalbi was not tender. We were served with one set of side dishes. We asked for another kimchi and fish cake. Since we are five adults who loves to eat the korean "side dishes", obviously two small portions wouldn't be enough. We asked for more as we are eating and to our surprise, the lady who's serving us who by the way never smiled at us from the beginning told us "You are aware that you are charged for every extra side dish that you asked for, right? Ofcourse we are not aware! Never in our dining experience that a Korean Restaurant will charge us for an extra kimchi or sides. Even after insisting to give us consideration after ordering five entrees. She would only give us if we will pay for it. We were in the middle of enjoying our food and instantly lost our appetite because of that. We were so disappointed that three of us couldn't eat anymore.
Would definitely not come back nor recommend this place. Also not worth it for the...
Read moreWe came here for dinner. We were seated right away and the server handed us menu. She served us hot tea as we were getting ready for menu. As we ordered, she gave us our sides for bbq. We had chicken and bulaogi. It was pretty ok. It’s a charcoal grill. But it took them a while to get our sides refill.
Talking about the ambience,I was not happy with the service. I felt like they priotize their native people more than the others. They were greeting and talking with them so instantly but it’s so hard to get them over our table if we needed something. They even escorted them outside once they were done eating and leaving, but not even bye to us lol. I don’t think I would be going back here again. There are so many Korean bbq in this area, they better step up with their service and equal treatment to all the customers. No one wants to go to the place where they don’t feel welcomed. The table were not too clean either. I don’t think I’d be going back here again. 3 star since they gave lollipop to my niece and that made her...
Read more3:30 pm in the afternoon and most Asian restaurants are closed until 5 pm. NOT this great little place. Authentic Korean, great tasting dishes made by real Koreans (If you eat at a lot of restaurants like me, you know that the taste will vary a little if another ethnicity tries to cook the same dishes.) Pros: Open even in mid day; lots of authentic and hard to find Korean dishes on the menu (going back soon to try the other dishes); roomy dining room, and clean; employees speak Korean and English very well; service was great (even though we were one of two customers in there, she frequently came around to check on us, and kept filling our water. Cons: It's on a busy street (Mission Blvd) and parking is very limited; prices are a bit above average, but the great taste makes up for it; it wasn't as spicy as I wanted it, but it was the first time, and may have had to ask for 'spicyyyyyy' to get it. The Chapjae was fantastic, however it was just a tad bit salty. Overall, I recommend you give this little...
