La Placita — Restaurant in Hayward

I used to come to this place when I loved on Tennyson. Food was always a bit pricey, and the staff where kind of short with me.. probably because I don't speak Spanish, my man is Mexican and they smile and chit chat when he orders... But the food used to be good.

Yesterday I wanted some birria and my spot on A st ran out. So my man went to la placita and ordered birria, menudo, and 4 asada tacos.. it was an inch of grease floating on top of both the birria and menudo containers.. my man ate half his menudo and I made like 4 tacos out of my birria . We both got the worst gas ever, and that was all we had eaten since breakfast. Oh and I'm breast feeding so my 11 week old had a super gassy fussy night as well. The asada tacos had no flavor.. we didn't finish any of the food. We wasted 40 bucks. We should have ordered pizza or went next door to jack in the box, would have been less greasy.. boooooooo over priced, greasy, flavorless food.. I'm black, I don't mind greasy food if it taste really good. But I probably could have fried chicken with the grease...

This was our first time coming here because a friend asked us to bring them for them. We went all the way to Hayward to pick them up (expensive) and when we gave them to hear she asked where the consumes were to find out they forgot to give us 4! Consumes. So we had to go back and we got them finally to eat at home the tacos crumbled, the handmade tortillas were so bad to hold they would just rip and made them $6 each tacos not worth it. And when we tried the soups they were sooo salty and everything was just a mess and so overrated. We will try to give them a second chance but such a bad experience not...

Was our first time here was delicious. Came by it on accident when googling places to eat, the GPS told us to turn somewhere that didn’t look like a turn if you blink you would miss it. Parking lot was very small but if you get there early, you should find parking. Very very delicious. Well worth the wait would definitely go back again Hopefully soon🤞🏼. There was a lady outside selling bread, which was delicious especially with my coffee the next few days after. Staff was super nice and kept checking on us even though we were sitting outside to make sure we weren’t missing anything. Definitely a...
