Iāll be honestā saw the hype on IG. Let me tell you living around the corner I was stoked. Then I get there. To packed 1 day. So came next the day, and figured I could wait since I live so close. Was cool got a little table at a very small spot. Which I love, and so does my wife, but think sits about 20 people. They said hello, and smiled. Great startšÆ donāt know what to order so to play its safe, and not pay to much on my first visit. Well. The presentation was great. I got the lobster roll, and my wife got the shrimp roll. Came with a small 2,3bite salad, and a pinch of curly fries. Took my first bite, and tasted like a soaked butter toast that they heated up bag lobster, and put it in. Not fresh at all, and noticed that the buns were coming frozen pre buttered from outside. So made sense why they were super soggy. Salad was great, and fries were good. Also ordered one order of the fried oysters as an appetizer. Which they forgot, and had to remind them right before I got my check. I really wanted to try them so I asked if they could still make them I would wait. 6 min later I got soaked fried oysters. Took one bite, and tasted like sour fish. Not like oyster. The waitress then notice I didnāt eat them, and ask me if they were ok. I politely said no they were really bad. She said.. ā oh you know what you need salt & pepperā as she agreed thatās why they are bad, but then told me what could have made them better, but never offered me salt & pepper, but honestly it wouldnāt have helped. Why am I leaving this honest reviewed, because I then notice the gentleman waiter tell the happy guest before us who were pleased with their food to please leave a review, and smiled, and continued to ask them to leave a review. With me all smiles just noticeably not happy with the quality the food. He didnāt say one word to us about it, and still charged us for the horrible oysters. Two people with tip I paid $100. For some soaked bagged butter rolls, and some bag fried oysters. Sorry, but not worth it, and will not be going back, or recommend this place. Donāt be fooled by social media. Change to some more fresh product, and probably will be better all around. Other then that Iām going to the pizza spot around the corneršÆ
Sincerely yours,
Bay Areas...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI ordered the beef burger with garlic fries instead of regular fries and the Cajun garlic shrimp roll.
The customer service was great. We ordered over the phone and it was quick and ready in 15 minutes. we arrived as the dish came out and began eating 5 minutes after leaving the restaurant. The place is small with a lot of sunlight.
The food was overall not impressive and bland.
The beef burger was ordered as-is on the menu. Over the phone it was mentioned that the burger would come with a slice of fresh pineapple even though that was not listed on the menu. The pineapple did not go with the overall bland flavor and did nothing to add to it. Despite having what seemed like mayo and a thousand island sauce it was SUPER BLAND. Did not have a good flavor. It didn't have much of a "beef" flavor either or any noticable seasoning. The lettuce was fresh which was nice and crunchy. Overall very dissatisfied with the burger that just left me wishing for a better burger. The 1/3 giant burger place nearby has a better burger as does other local areas including the nearby Wendy's.
The Cajun garlic shrimp did not look like in the picture online. I should have taken pictures to go with the post. The roll didn't taste much like Cajun but did have a nice garlicky flavor and the shrimp was nicely cooked. The bread it was served on tasted cheap and I didn't really care for. It had a huge butter flavor to it. It was an okay item. The side salad it came with had too much of the dressing and seemed to be swimming in it so I didn't eat that.
Both dishes came with fries and both set of fries (the garlic and regular fries) were soggy. No crunch just soggy fries which were a disappointment. It tasted like the oil hasn't been changed in a while. The amount of fresh garlic on the garlic fries was nice, but not much beyond that. They were too greasy and non crunchy.
I wanted to give this place a chance and support a local restaurant. Sadly was too disappointed with the result and won't be returning here. Great customer service, not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came her and waited for my friend. The lady who greeted me was very nice. She seated me a brought me water and I told her I was waiting for someone. The guy, on the other hand, asked her after waiting for about 5 minutes what I was waiting for (I don't know exactly what he said, but her response to him was "she is waiting on a friend). Now mind you, he has not approached me, talked to me, or even looked at me. When my friend showed up (who is a beautiful Asian women and Im a Black,Native American, and Vietnamese woman), we couldn't keep him away from the table. He would never ask me if I needed anything and anything he brought to the table was given to her. He would approach MANY times and only engage my friend and never look my way. I told her he was obviously in to her but it was weird that he never greeted me when l got there and before she got there in the same manner that he did other customers or when she arrived(they were all Asian). If that wasn't enough, she and I decided to share the same crab boil bag and I asked for extra "hot" sauce on the side in case it wasn't as hot as I thought it was. She tasted a small portion and I really like it because it wasn't that hot to me so I ate a little more of it. I woke up projectile vomiting and experienced diarrhea from 2 AM until the mid day. I was miserable. My friend had no symptoms and was fine. I'm not sure what happened here, I just know I will never be back. The woman was very kind and thank you for being nice. Please teach the guy who was working with you not to be partial to customers based on the way they...
