Rigatoni's Fresh Italian Grill Hayward — Restaurant in Hayward

My 1st and last time eating here. I make way better spaghetti and garlic bread at home that actually has good seasoning and flavor! I stayed at the hotel right across from this restaurant. They ignored me standing in line and only talked to the doordash people walking in. When I was finally helped after getting looked at a bunch of times, I paid and said thank you without a your welcome or smile. When I walked back to my hotel room right next door, I had to return to the restaurant to get a fork to eat my food with and napkins. When I finally got to eat, the food was not really warm like I just picked it up. It was like iv had it for hours. Meatballs are overpriced for being so small and not tasting like real meat, the meatballs were also cold in the center. The flavor of the spaghetti sauce tasted VERY cheap, flavor plain . The garlic bread was hard and chewy hard to pull apart and also looked and tasted as if they soaked the bread in a bowl of butter for a long time. I wish I would have chose somewhere else even pizza I make way better homemade spaghetti and garlic bread at home never eating here again. Waste of...

We have an "girls lunch out "or should we say " ladies " lunch out ..I was with my roommate and her mom. 😍It was our first date together ❤ and we were glad that we chose Rigatoni's. My friends both ordered 🍝 Spaghetti with meatballs and I ordered the Chicken Pesto. Actually, I was craving for Chicken pesto for weeks now and I was not disappointed with what I ordered. It has the right spiciness, not too strong like other restaurants do it. The price quite pricey. But the portion ung is 👍 alright. The only complaint we had was the bread not fresh anymore...but it didn't took them long to bring out some fresh bread . I am suggesting that they should have garlic bread instead. Solidly unimpressive, just-okay experience. The (unlimited!) self-serve bread bar is perhaps their greatest selling point.

Otherwise, all the food tasted just meh. I ordered a chicken pesto (pasta) lunch special ($16.60 including tax), which comes with a salad or soup, and drink bar access. My pasta flavor was underwhelming and texture was slightly overdone. Veggies in my minestrone soup were crunchy in an undercooked way.

Service was fine; food came in a reasonable time.

I just wouldn't come back again because of the lackluster cooking. TBH, you might as well purchase a quick microwave or stovetop meal from Trader Joe's that tastes/feels better at...
