Nestled in the heart of Henderson, NV, Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca beckons diners with its enchanting garden patio, a hidden gem that instantly transports you to an Italian villa. As I stepped onto the sunlit terrace, adorned with vibrant flowers and twinkling string lights, I felt a wave of serenity wash over me. The gentle sound of rustling leaves and soft laughter from fellow diners set the perfect backdrop for what would unfold as a memorable dining experience.
At Bottiglia, the Italian cuisine shines with a flair for the traditional while embracing contemporary creativity. I decided to indulge in their signature dish: the Burrata Caprese, a luscious ball of fresh burrata drizzled with aged balsamic and accompanied by heirloom tomatoes. The moment I took a bite, the creamy richness of the cheese melded beautifully with the sweet acidity of the tomatoes, creating a flavor explosion that danced on my palate. Each element was thoughtfully presented, showcasing the chef's attention to detail and love for Italian flavors.
The overall atmosphere of the restaurant is both floral and sunny, providing a spacious al fresco dining experience that feels both relaxed and sophisticated. As I enjoyed my meal, the sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting playful shadows on my plate, and filling me with a sense of joy and tranquility. It’s the kind of place where time seems to stand still, allowing you to savor every moment, whether you're on a romantic date or enjoying a lively brunch with friends.
Speaking of brunch, I was there celebrating my Sister’s birthday, and the service was nothing short of exceptional. Our server was not only friendly but also incredibly attentive. I opted for the build-your-own omelette, selecting asparagus, prosciutto, and mozzarella from the enticing menu. However, when my dish arrived, I was surprised to find diced ham steak instead of the expected prosciutto. Upon bringing this to the server’s attention, she promptly communicated with the chef, who explained that the ham steak was their version of prosciutto. While the omelette was still delightful, the switch did change the appeal slightly. Nevertheless, the server's prompt action and willingness to rectify the situation left a positive impression on me.
Bottiglia Cucina & Enoteca stands out not just for its delicious food but also for the warm, welcoming atmosphere it cultivates. Whether you're a couple looking for a romantic dinner, a family celebrating a special occasion, or a food enthusiast eager to explore Italian flavors, this restaurant has something for everyone. With moderate pricing for the quality of food and service offered, I can wholeheartedly recommend Bottiglia as a must-visit dining destination in Henderson. Come for the food, stay for the atmosphere, and leave with memories that will linger long after...
Read moreDuring the bustling holiday season, I had the pleasure of dining at Bottiglia Cucina, and it was an experience to remember. Despite the restaurant being packed with patrons, the service, ambiance, and culinary offerings were nothing short of spectacular. Special recognition must go to Daniel, who provided superb service throughout the evening. His attentiveness and professionalism stood out, ensuring our dining experience was seamless even amidst the holiday rush. Let’s dive into the food. The Meatballs. These were an absolute highlight. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and smothered in a rich marinara sauce, they were the quintessential Italian comfort food. The Caesar Salad was fresh, crisp, and beautifully balanced. This classic was elevated with a generous helping of shaved parmesan and crunchy croutons. The dressing was creamy but not overwhelming, hitting all the right notes. The shrimp cocktail included large pieces of shrimp that were fresh and perfectly chilled, served with a zesty cocktail sauce that had just the right amount of horseradish kick. The Baked Gnocchi was pure indulgence. The gnocchi were pillowy and soft, nestled under a gooey, golden layer of cheese and smothered with meatballs and just the perfectly spiced Italian sausage. A warm, comforting option that didn’t disappoint. The Fettuccine Alfredo was rich and creamy with a sauce that clung perfectly to the pasta, this dish delivered on all fronts. The Spaghetti and Meatballs was a classic done exceptionally well. The al dente spaghetti paired with the same heavenly meatballs was a satisfying, hearty choice. The Braised Short Ribs over Polenta were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the creamy polenta was the perfect complement. This dish was a standout, offering depth of flavor and a melt-in-your-mouth experience. The Salmon was expertly cooked with a crispy skin and flaky, moist interior, the salmon was both light and flavorful. The Veal Piccata was delicate, beautifully prepared dish with a tangy lemon and caper sauce that balanced the richness of the veal perfectly. Now on to the desserts. The Coconut Chocolate Mousse was a decadent yet light treat with the perfect balance of creamy chocolate and subtle coconut flavor. The Raspberry Cheesecake was smooth, rich, and topped with fresh raspberries. This cheesecake was a delightful mix of tart and sweet. Through it all, Daniel ensured that every detail of our meal was perfect. Despite the busy holiday crowd, he checked on us frequently, kept our drinks topped off, and made thoughtful recommendations and provided us with his warm humor. His calm and attentive demeanor added a personal touch that made our evening even more special. If you’re looking for a spot that shines even during the busiest times of the year, this is the...
Read moreI've been trying out all of these Station Casino restaurants and I was excited to check out Bottiglia. The outside of the restaurant makes it seem very high-class and expensive, especially since their menu has no prices. But it's not really the case. The prices are only a bit on the higher side for the post-pandemic era.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was a bit unexpected. It's very open with modern decor and felt very much like a lunch spot. We did arrive at around 5:00 when the sun was still out. It might feel different later in the day. The music is incredibly loud, and the more people sit down, the higher they turn the volume. Towards the end of the meal, the bass was so loud, it almost felt like there should be a dancefloor or something. As a result of the music being so loud, everyone has to yell in their conversation. All of it just resulted in the place being absolutely drowned in noise. That aspect of the restaurant was definitely negative for us.
The food was a mixed bag. The bread and appetizer were fine. We ordered the antipasti platter. All of the meats and cheese were pretty good. It's a good thing we only ordered one appetizer, because it's definitely meant to be shared.
For the entree, we considered getting the veal piccata. We asked if the veal was good and the server very nicely implied that the chicken was probably better. We went with the chicken piccata. Very happy about that advice, because considering the quality of the chicken, I highly doubt the veal would have been worth it.
The chicken piccata had very little pasta. It was like a little side dish of pasta almost. It had just a few capers and minimal seasoning in general. The pasta was topped with two pieces of chicken. The top smaller piece was very tender and good quality, but the bottom piece was chewy. The person I was with said both their pieces of chicken were mediocre.
For dessert we settled on cheesecake. You could taste the freezer burn on the back part of the slice. Pretty gross.
The servers were all very attentive and friendly. They seemed to have a large staff. They all stand around in case you need anything, and they seem to work as a team, so it doesn't take long to get what you need.
My standard go-to Italian restaurant at Stations has been Pasta Cucina at the Sunset Station. I was excited to try this place as it seemed like a step above, but I would say it's actually not as good. It's not terrible, but it's just not a place that I'll be...
