Balboa Pizza — Restaurant in Henderson

12/11/24 We came in here again last night for the Goat pizza and brought a new friend. One of my friends comes here all the time. After last night, NONE OF US WILL BE BACK! We were treated badly. The service was horrible. Our waitress was rude, never came back to check on us or refill our drinks. We finally got the Bartender to come over and she was rude too. There was barely any goat on our goat pizza. Waitress said," I guess they were skimpy tonight." Well we were skimpy on the tip. Did not leave one. Pizza is expensive and most of us don't need an xtra one to take home too. The pineapple pizza was good and filling. The goat pizza I took home was burnt on one side. They could have at least given us a Free Beer but they should have never been rude to us. I would have been fired if I treated my customers that way in my previous years. I also taught customer service. I write reviews on good and bad service. I will also be writing a letter to the manager and Owner, Pete. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Was here for the first time 6/7/23, not what I expected. Cool menu, great service at the Bar! My Hawaiian Pizza could have had more of a lift, kind of flat, BUT NOT BAD.LOVE the thin crust! Pizza on Flatbread is a bit pricy, but we got to take one home. I asked for half and half and it was not, it was all eggplant. Should have checked before I left. Did not seem like a Happy Hour Price. Great place to try, but not eager to come back too. Could use some music too, this place has lots of potential especially the patio area which was vacant. Marketing always plays a key factor. I believe businesses are missing that "Wow Factor" - What makes us come back and tell others!?

Everything in the Green Valley District Area is way too expensive! Definitely NOT a place for shopping. For some reason this...

We really enjoyed a fun Happy Birthday Hour at Balboa Pizza yesterday.

Service was great!

Everyone from host to waitresses were incredibly warm and welcoming. It felt like the staff enjoyed being there with us as much as we did...like they are a circle of friends, and we were included.

We had Lemonade-Vodka with deep fried Calamari and Pizza Flat Bread.

The Calamari was exceptional.

It could have been served proudly at any seaside resturant. The balance was more calamari than breading, and a hearty sized serving.

The Happy Hour drinks were generous with the Vodka; and the pizza had a crispy thin crust (my personal preference) served on a square breadboard with serving knife and dipping sauces.

The ambience at Balboa is light, pleasant and relaxed.

Decor is seaside casual. (No table cloth.) It's easy to imagine you are at a seaside after a long day of swimming and sun at Balboa.

For the birthday celebration the waitresses sang while presenting the birthday girl with a hot fuge sunday topped with a candle.

Soooo, why not 5 star? Generally I reserve 5 for the fancy schmancy places. Multi-course meals.

It's kind of apples and oranges though, to compare Balboa with Hank's Steakhouse, or Oscars.

Of the casual resturants in our area though, Balboa is ABSOLUTELY 5 star.

It's hard to imagine anyone having anything but a good time there.

Recently had dinner here. Very happy I did. Open 24 hours. Video poker bar too. Full bar. Located in The District complex adjacent to the Green Valley Ranch Casino. Lots of free parking. Great full menu. GREAT PIZZA! The kitchen staff here really knows what they are doing! Lots of pizza options. I had the roasted garlic and artichoke heart pizza with chicken. Their crust is thin and the pizza has a generous portion of toppings, cheese, and sauce. The edges are crunchy. The overall taste of the pizza was delicious. Again, thumbs up to the grateful kitchen staff! Large enough portion for sharing. Really friendly, great service with a short wait time for my pizza to arrive. I sat on the back patio because I had my service dog with me. The staff were very accommodating. The back patio is shaded with cool looking umbrellas that look like dried palm fronds you'd see at a beach. It gets a bit dark as the sun goes down on the patio. Maybe a couple of outdoor LED table top fake candles or soft light patio table lights would make a difference there. It looks like they also have a robust to-go business too by the looks of things.
