Great American Pub — Restaurant in Henderson

I have been going to GAP for over a year now. At least once or twice a week. They have been under new ownership since April 23rd. I went today to watch VGK's game. The menu has changed, prices have changed. Happy Hour is now only 5-7pm and not 2-6pm as it was in the past. The service was awful. My friend ordered a cheeseburger. The plastic wrap was still on the cheese. The French fries were not as crispy as usual. I was told the chefs that were originally there all quit. What a shame...I really enjoyed this place. I'm not so sure I'll be going back. The original owners were there quite often. Very friendly and concerned about our experience there. Always stopped by our table to chat with us. Nice people. All of the 5 ratings below need to go away. GAP was sold out to PTs, and as always, with the Golden Gaming takeover, they destroyed an absolutely amazing pub. (If you have forgotten, think T-Birds demise.) Same staff currently, so the bar is still great, but sure, that will not last long. But of course, they gutted the menu and instilled the typical PT's garbage menu. Cheesesteak sandwich, that could not be more salty and dry if you meant it to be, cheese pizza that makes Tombstone pizza look gourmet, almost sure it is a frozen crust.

Just too bad that the GAP had such an amazing food program, and they just came in and destroyed it.

My husband and I have been to GAP multiple times now. We have several other places we frequent in the area, but none hold a candle to The Great American Pub (GAP). The service is fantastic. Shout out to Tovka and Veronica. We met both of these ladies on different nights. They are great at their job, as well as, being very welcoming. We have won, or at least broke even, on more than a few occasions. The food is spectacular (especially the Philly), and they make a great old fashion and jager bomber. I was a bar manager for years while in college so I have high expectations, those expectations have been met at GAP. Thank you Tov and V. You two...
